This is just a sweet, basic, no frills steel hardtail. If you've ever ridden one of these frames you know how awesome steel is. It has very servicable and durable, yet lightweight parts, nothing gimmiky. This bike will last you a lifetime. I chose the shimano front/left shift kit because I think srams front deraillurs and left 1:1 shifters suck, but love their rear/right stuff. I went with mostly bontrager stuff to keep this thing as authentic as possible (not to mention it's cool stuff). The best part is that if you can assemble it yourself, you can build this thing up for about 900 + shipping ebay prices. That's a killer deal.
