Summary:
This place is loaded with impressive technical difficulty. I would recommend renting a DH bike if you don't have one and bring full face helmet and armor. Look before you leap, some of the drops and rolls are quite tricky and they are worth scoping out first. I consider it to be a pretty advanced mountain; beginners are likely to find most of the trails beyond their comfort zone.

While there are no A-Line style runs, there is plenty of flow and lots of tight & twisty New England style steep singletrack. Most impressive and fun for me were the many rock & boulder features.

If you can competently ride at Attitash you can ride anywhere.

Recommended Route:
Check in at the bike shop for recommendations.

Summary:
Attitash used to have terrible trails with loose rocks and bad lines several years ago. That was then...

Now it will definitely test your skill. There are some sick lines that require serious control. Several of the drops have no run out so you have to land exactly right. A lot of trails have options so you can try a technical section or wuss out and go around (and then lie to your friends who weren't there). Most of the people who complain about the new trails simply lack the skills to handle the terrain. Either that or they are just pissy losers who need to shut it.

Hardtails or duallies will work fine for those with skills, but less adept riders should rent a DH rig and let the suspension make up for lack of ability. Bring your armor. Bring a lunch. Leave your attitude at home. Be friendly to the staff in the bike shop. When you're done, go to the Moat Mtn. Brewery to numb your sore body.

Summary:
First off, don't read half the reviews from this place, they are outdated so they don't hold true to what Attitash is like today. Now there is a wide variety of trails there. Although most of them are tougher there are some easier ones for beginners too.

Tons of work has been being done up at Attitash by the Trail Ninja and crew. Improvements are being made left and right. For this year, Sleepy Hollow has become like a totally new trail. There is a New Roller on Holy Chute... Expab*tchin' Rock is pretty sick too. The Dark path is a sick new trail with a 10-15 foot gap at the end of it. Lower Busted Toe Bypass is another Super flowy trail... And Pinner's Paradise which should be open by the time anyone reads it (if not almost open) is something totally different then what Attitash typically has to offer.

So, if you haven't been up there lately or at all, ignore all of the bad reviews below mine (not all are bad, just mainly some of the old ones) and get on up there. I can guarantee you will have fun.

Overall I give Attitash a 5/5. I know it is the most fun place I have ridden to date.

Recommended Route:
For a warm-up run something easy like Rocky Road to Grandma's House, but if you are good, then take Holy Chute to The Dark Path... one of the new sick trails at Attitash.

If you want something flowier check out Flowbee or Sleepy Hollow.

Summary:
First off: I went with my friend and he rode a p1 (stock) and i rode my 6" FR hardtail.

Attitash kicked my arse. I seriously crashed at least 5 times. Gashed the arm up, leg armor looks like i cheese gratered it, and my arse has a black and blue mark the size of my hand. ow.

Most of the trails were nice and steep and super techy/rocky. Some highlights were Linkin Logs and all the other stunts. Some of those natural drops were extreeeeeemly sketchy. I think on Holy Chute there were several (seemingly) impossible looking rock roll ins. I guess i just need to see someone in full armor and a DH bike do it. Most of the stunts and drops have nearly no room to stop after landing. i completely stopped in a hole that i landed on in Holy Chute, flung me off.

I would definately recommend going here...just be prepared to take it easy and not rush into things from the start. Also, bring as much armor (or skill...hehe) as you can. Lift waits are extremely short, and its nice to get the priority over those alpine sliders. (did anyone else want to randomly poach the alpine slide? looks tempting!)

If they let me, i would have definately liked to see some of the 'flow' improved...especially around some of the stunts. Some of the woodwork was falling apart on Linkin Logs...not good :( Maybe next summer someone could get approval to do a ton of trailwork; there is a lot of potential at Attitash.

Summary:
I've riden cross country for a few years and came to Attitash for my first downhill experience. It was fscking sick. My buddy had been here a few years earlier and attested to the huge changes this place has made.

All the riding is tight and steep in the trees. The technical aspects range from fairly difficult to certifiable. First I was scared, then I was stoked, then I was beat. There were some sweet dirt jumps that we got big air on too. We spent all day from opening until closing and rode every trail at least once. SAS was definately out of our league but most everything else was ridable enough to be fun.

Bombing down singletrack on a full suspension bike is so incredibly fun, but definately takes a lot out of you mentally and physically. I would not have had nearly as much fun if it was all fire roads and double track like lots of other area mountains purportedly are. Attitash is the spot in NH; the terrain is great, the lifties give preference to mountain bikers, and you do not have to worry about crowds.

Recommended Route:
I think Oaf Huck was my fav, but they're all sweet. Beware SAS.
