When you ride a Mountain Cycle, the fun starts where other bikes stop. For Mountain Cycle, the fun started in 1989. That’s when we handcrafted the world’s first moto-inspired MTB. By ignoring all the rules of bike-building that had been written before it, the first Mountain Cycles changed mountain biking forever. With their rugged monocoque chassis, inverted suspension forks and disc brakes – three Mountain Cycle firsts – bikes like the San Andreas took riders places they’d only dreamed of. Downhill riding was redefined, and the door for freeriding was blown wide open.
Today the heart of off-road riding beats stronger than ever. But the sport’s horizons have broadened to include wide-open mountains, crowded cityscapes and everything in between. Fortunately, some of the most challenging hotbeds for riding in the world are located in the Pacific Northwest – Mountain Cycle’s home. It’s our job at Mountain Cycle to make sure every new design is as fun as it is functional. When you work and play in a place like this, that’s a job it’s easy to take seriously. |
