Formula Brake USA Introduces the 2007 Oro Preview The new line from Formula Italy is called the Oro. We incorporated a new and unique lever design, a vented post mount style caliper, and Italian engineering to produce a brake that raises the bar for all other disc brakes. The Oro is the most powerful two piston bicycle disc brake ever (we have the tests to prove it) and is ridiculously light. Let’s just say the ORO was good enough for Team Honda/G-Cross and Greg Minnaar to win the World Cup Championship in 2005.

There are 4 different ORO models for 2007: ORO K18, ORO K24, Oro Bianco (new), and ORO Puro; as well as a limited edition Greg Minnaar Oro. We are also continuing to offer our DH/Enduro specific brake: the Extreme. Each Oro model uses the same lever and caliper castings. The difference between the four comes down to different fasteners/pads/lever blades and a feature on the 3 high end models we call FCS. This is a patented tool-free adjustment which changes the amount of throw the lever has before the pads contact the rotor. The adjuster is tucked away behind the lever, where it is protected from braking off during crashes. Each model is available with 160mm, 180mm, or 200mm rotor options. Please read on to get detailed descriptions of each model!
