LOOK 555 / FORK : HSC 4
The 555 tubes are oversized. By increasing the size of the tube we do increase the stiffness, in the mean time we manage to decrease the thickness of the tube. The tubes are circular and lightly oval with a constant thickness. The lateral stiffness is equal to the vertical one, the comfort comes from the rear wishbone and bases.
2 parts of the 555 has been developed to bring comfort to the 555 : The bases are twisted to get a flat section in the center. This procees increased the comfort by creating a vertical flexibility. In the mean time the flatter base is bigger horizontally , which increased the lateral stiffness. In order to increase the comfort the wishbone is curved.
