Interbike 2007

Nomad

When the Nomad first hit the scene, the idea of 165mm travel trail bikes was considered a little over the top. Lighter and more nimble than dedicated big-drop, big-hit park-duty bikes, but less nervy and a lot more plush than the fast-twitch behavior of XC oriented bikes, the Nomad helped usher in a whole new trail riding mindset. It can be built up under 30 pounds and ridden as a supremely confidence inspiring trail bike, or with a slightly more heavy duty parts kit, it can very capably run with the big dogs in chairlift country. The 165mm of VPP rear suspension allows it to climb with more agility and snap than many less-plush bikes, and this trait combined with its renowned handling have made the Nomad one of our most popular bikes ever. Nomad – the name sums it up – go anywhere.
