Interbike 2007

frame detail

Pivot uses a 92mm press-in XTR bottom bracket it developed with Shimano. It lightens the frame by about 100 grams, while making for a wider, stiffer perch for the downtube and bb/pivot assembly. Pivot also uses a bolt-on front derailleur to make room for its optimized pivot. The added benefit is that the chainline is perfect every time and shifting is more precise.
