    Favorite Trail:Salève
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $2800.00
    Purchased At:local bike store
    Strengths:Very stiff and responsive frame
    Light for what it does
Virtual pivot point rear suspension works well, feels like more travel than it is
    Very good equipment
Weaknesses:None really, but if you're picky:
    - Cannot mount bottle rack
    - Rear shock is exposed to dirt from rear wheel. I made a small crudcatcher from flexible plastic, fixed it with cable binders (the plastic self closing things), problem is solved.

Bike Setup:Fox Talas RL fork; DTSwiss 210 rear shock; Shimano LX/XT groupset, DTSwiss Hügi 240 with Mavic XM719 wheels, Magura LouiseFR brakes
Bottom Line:Excellent bike. I'm very happy with it. It pedals like a hardtail but sucks up irregular terrain as if one were ironing it flat.
I got it a bit cheaper than the regular price...

    Date Reviewed: October 10, 2005
    Favorite Trail:A-Line
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Strengths:Pedals very well, stout frame, good handing, takes abuse well
    Weaknesses:None so far
Similar Products Used:Four-bar, foux-bar, single-pivot - I've ridden lots of different suspension designs
Bike Setup:Marzocchi All-Mountain 1, Truvative cranks, bars, and stem, Mavic EX729/Woodman/XT wheels, Nokian NBX 2.3 DH, blah, blah, blah...
Bottom Line:Great All-Mtn. or light freeride bike. It can pedal up and rip it on the way down. Great handling whether the bike is on the ground or in the air. Can take jumps and drops very well. Suspension is active and predictable. Tough, stiff frame. It can climb technical terrain as well as it can descend.

    Favorite Trail:If I see a trail, I ride it
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $4700.00
    Purchased At:Tweewielershop Rolde (Holland)
    Strengths:Very stiff frame
Very good damping back, fast responding
    It can take a beating
    Weaknesses:no bottleholder
    Similar Products Used:Cannondale V700
    Mountain Cycle San Andreas
Bike Setup:Fox Tallas RLC,Fox Float rear shock, Truvativ DH Raiserbar, Rohloff Speedhub, Shimano XT Hollowtec, Mavic 321 Disc, Magura Louise FR, Truvativ seatpost, Selle Italia Pro Link Gel Flow.
Bottom Line:Very good bike, it is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Had some nasty falls but the bike takes it without any problems. It is very stiff, had a few fast downhils over 90kmh on rough terrain, but no sign of unsteadyness. Unbelievable.
It is a little heavy at the back due to the Rohloff Hub, but it is worth it.
    3000 km without any problems.
