Favorite Trail:a-LINE, SCHLEYER, beacon hill, fod
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $750.00
Purchased At:WHEEL SPORT EAST
Strengths:extremely fast, jumps great, sucks up impacts, easy barspins, rails corners and flies
Weaknesses:HORRIBLE brake jack. seat hits tires during bottom out, come w/o single crowns, not a real great pedaller ( it can go uphill htough i rode a 2 mile ascent on mine)
Similar Products Used:kona Stinky, Iron horse sunday, intense m3 (tested them all and:) iron horse yakuza, giant ac(own)
Bike Setup:marz 66, saint brakes, sun S-type wheels, maxxis highroller/minion
Bottom Line:My bike is really heavy but this frame will build up way light. I have a lot of trouble with brake jack but i dont use front brakes hardly at all. super fast, wins a lot of races here.

its a good dh/fr bike. thats it. not a climber or dirt jumper but sweet for intended purposes

Date Reviewed: May 26, 2007
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $500.00
Purchased At:Ebay
Strengths:Very mobile, you can send this bike where you'd like it to go.
Weaknesses:The seat can often hit the tire when you go through the suspension.
Similar Products Used:Some random norcos, a kona, just low end, often seen stuff.
Bottom Line:Got the frame off of Ebay, tossed the parts from my old norco onto it. This bike is fast for the price. I have a dhx 3.0 on it, with a slightly shorter eye-to-eye length. This puts the front out a bit by slackening the head angle. You'll hit the seat more often, but it'll be worth it. The bike will fly. I've tried a few different bikes up where I ride, this one is possibly the most agile DH bike I've ever sat on.

Date Reviewed: September 28, 2006
Favorite Trail:Local stuff
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $1600.00
Purchased At:Ebay is a wonderful thing
Strengths:The best part about this rig is the ability to adjust the propedal to a slow stiff rebound for flat sections.Fork is very plush.
Weaknesses:The El caminos become unaligned easily but only squeeks at slow speeds. No uphills on this bike.(It is a DH bike)
Similar Products Used:nothing compares...
Bike Setup:05 Stock
Bottom Line:I like it a lot for the price I paid you could buy the fork, shock, and wheels new so I think it was well worth the investment.Ive heard bad things about this frame but I like the feel of it a lot. People say "toothpaste welds". But I have to disagree

Date Reviewed: July 6, 2006
Favorite Trail:Deer Creek Canyon
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:Diamondback
Strengths:Adjustable travel between 7.9 and 8.7 inches. Solid 12mm x 150mm rear hub that feels stiff at high and low speed.
Weaknesses:None yet.
Similar Products Used:Diamonback XTS moto.
Bike Setup:Holtzfeller cranks, bars, stem, E-13 SRS, mtx rims, maxxis minion dhf (2.5) tires.
Bottom Line:This bike is really underrated. It preforms like a bike that costs twice as much. Anyone that is not a believer find me at a MSC race and take it for a spin. Diamondback has put a lot of work into development of this bike and it shows. If your on a budget but still want to ride or race DH this bike is for you, no question about it. Because of their absence from racing in the past few years this bike sells for close to what some top shelf frames cost, plus you get all the components to boot. Check it out...you won't be dissappointed.
