Strengths:Burley bike with excellent build kit. Fox air shock with lockout helps with the climbs. Have to go up in order to come down. Great looking bike with nice lines. Freerides and downhills great without bottoming out. Sick bike.
Weaknesses:Heavy!!!!!! Blew rear wheel apart with help from large drop. $50 fix wheel was saved can't complain. Nothing else.
Similar Products Used:Iron horse 5inch travel
specialized demo 8
Bike Setup:stock with addition of rat fink bell. What's another pound?
Bottom Line:This bike rocks! I ride hard 3-4 times a week and only had an issue with a back wheel thats not crap. Commencal bikes are hard to come by in the US and I get stopped all the time and complemented on such a great looking bike. I say the great thing is it rides as good as it looks! If you can find one buy it!

Strengths:Solid frame built. versatile, DH, freeride and easy to pedal so if you dont run a DC fork and downnhill specifik tyres, then taking it for a XC ride works fine too. Very solid suspension design and a high quality paint job. Adjustble head angle is neat and works perfect when you want to change setup for riding style or terrain.
Weaknesses:I have been having a few problems with components exept for anything that is commencal (frame, hubs and handlebar).
Oro brakes is useless. swinger 4way air blew after 2 months and the nixon fork which by the way is a super fork that i gave a serius beating brok in the axle mounts after a year.
Similar Products Used:Hot chili x-rage, Scott high octane, azonic eliminator, club roost XC 4
Bike Setup:Changes from stock model: brakes, shock, fork and crankset. 5TH coil rear shoch with 2,5" stroke instead of the standard 2". Juicy 7, saint crankset, X9, Marz 66.
Bottom Line:I got as my "Do it all" bike and it works perfect. Hammer the DH track in the morning and then dump my protection gear in the car and take it for a XC trip in the afternoon, But again it depends on your setup how versatile it is, and if you dont like to ride some of the funn stuf along the trail this bike is probably to slow and heavy for you.

Strengths:EVERYTHING!
it pedals awsome, jumps like a dj machine, rails like a dream, kills it at DH and is pure fun! its also strong like no other, is beautiful to look at and is hand built by an awsome company!it also manuels super good
Weaknesses:nothing at all!
Similar Products Used:um...intense uzzi maybe, versus blitz II though it felt heavier and less manouverable the the commencal, sx trail a bi and thats it, but the commencal felt bette then all of em'
Bike Setup:stock full setup but I put on:
-E13 chainguide
- 2 bontrager big earl tires
- new da bomb lock on grips
thts it, all the stock set up is awsome but it didnt have a chainguide and the grips and tires were all done for...
Bottom Line:this bike is the best all-around bike out there!
it can dj,drop,dh,trail ride and absloutley do anything awsome!
one of its main features is that its so fun! ive never ridden a funner bike and im givin it 5 smokin hot chillis, id give it more if there were!
