The extra width is great for Trials work like lurches, etc. High power over foot high logs is a breeze because of control you get with these wider bars. I've got the newest ones, the PDW with the terraced diameter, laser etched logo, and black anodized finish. Here's what I like about them:They have more upsweep than any other handlebar on the market, a killer feature that makes other bars feel all wrong once you've tried it. The double diameter keeps the bar fat all the way to the brake levers instead of tapering down to the standard diameter. I don't know what that does for strength but it look fantastic, much better than other riser's. The finish is durable and the grip surface is treated to keep the grips in place. I don't normally care about endorsements but I've seen Missy Giove race before-- no way will this thing ever break with me at the helm. The downside is that the diameter step limits how narrow you can cut it down. There's no way to make one of these into a 22 bar. Mine are cut to 24.5 which works fine here in California, where the trees have the courtesy to not crowd each other too much. | Overall Rating: |

I got downhill bar so I could have a little more control. Where I ride it is very rocky and the extra control is great. The bar is wonderful. I have had no problems at all and they don't seem to have any flex. I am a light rider however. Is it me or do the last few reviews look like they have been done by the same person? It's probably someone trying to lower the overall score of these great bars. There is one shortcoming for the bar and that is the fact that it certainly does scratch easily, but it's almost impossible to truly ride a mountain bike without getting scratchs. It's really no big deal. A truly great bar | Overall Rating: |

i've had these bars on for about 3 to 4 months, and they're pretty damn good. just like anything new or different you change on your bike, it takes a while to get used to them. but once you do, you'll be wondering who you got along without them before. the only problem i 've had so far is with them slipping up and down, but i'm pretty sure that's my stems fault. i put some lock-tite on the stem bolts and haven't had a problem since. if your regular trails are tight and technical with trees that are pretty close together you'll want to get some pretty short ones. out of the box, mine was three or four inches longer than my old flat bars. the amount of rise you wnat pretty much depends on the degree and length of your stem, so you'll have to figure that one out yourself. i've noticed improved steering precesion, greater downhill speeds and a more comfortable position on the bike since i installed these puppys. pretty decent improvements for changing one piece of equipment, check one out. | Overall Rating: |

I now have the double wall straight bar (no rise 3 degree bend). This bar is great. I cut mine from 25 to 24. They only weigh 220 grm. Some riser bars weigh nearly twice that. I tried riser bars but even 1.5 rise with 9 degree bend was to high and to far back for me. Climbing with the riser made the front end wander. Even carving a turn on the downhill was affected. It tended to wash way to easy. The only thing I liked about the riser bars is when you screw up and get in a rut the front end tends to pop right up and out of the rut, no problem. If you're looking for a wider more stable bar, but don't need the rise, get the Azonic downhill doublewall flat bar. You will be happy happy happy. | Overall Rating: |

I got these bars because my lower back was hurting (particularly on climbs), and instantly felt better. Because they're wider than flat bars, you have more control, and can ride more technical sections. Since they're higher than flat bars, they take some weight off the front wheel, so it's easy to wheelie over obstacles. I really do not think they make climbing more difficult. Sure you have to weight the front wheel a little more, but I am climbing at least as fast, (but more comfortably) than with flat bars. I suppose if you do a lot of really steep climbing, they might be a little detrimental. But I think it's a worthwhile tradeoff. I am not even a downhiller, and have talked two of my roommates into rise bars. Give them a try, and you will never go back to flat bars again. | Overall Rating: |

I used to use a regulare titanium flat handlebar for racing and XC. I thought about it and bought an Azonic World Force 1.5 rise handlebar. It has been awsome! Not only has it improved my downhilling and my trials, but now i can uphill without the neck strain and i actually go FASTER uphill!!! I would recomend this to anyone who wants to improve their MTB'ing! | Overall Rating: |

These bars are the best thing I have bought for my bike. Normal bars are kind of cramped for me, when I road with these bars I felt really comfortable on my bike. They give you a lot of control, which I think is a good thing. Better riding position, more upright. | Overall Rating: |

Best ever! Total control with comfort and good hand position. No more back aches! Straight bars and bar ends, toss them and get the AZONICS. DH risers bars are the way to go. And GO FAST! | Overall Rating: |

These bars have amazing strength, and little if any flex. They're reasonably cheap, look studly and are used by most of the pros. What more could you want? | Overall Rating: |

These bars are great, perfect width and comfortable angle. I can get them to flex a little, but I think that is just to absorb vibrations, don't worry I am a big guy. I also use them for XC and all around riding. Some how I have two identical 2 inch rise Azonic DH bars so I guess I will put the other pair on my Trials bike. | Overall Rating: |

I purchased a new bike this spring an had the opportunity to upgrade for a small amount to the Azonic downhill bar. I chose the one with the least rise as I am not a downhiller. I found this bar to be very comfortable and stiff. I don't worry so much about a bar break any more (false security, maybe). The riding position is very comfortable and has eliminated some back pain I was having with my old bar. The one thing that I didn't like about this bar was the difficulty I had getting grips to stick to it. Golf grip tape fixed that fast and now no trouble. | Overall Rating: |
