    Strengths:This review is for the 13-30, 7-speed HG-50: It works fine. I find 7 speed has plenty o' gearing for me.
    I suppose made in Japan counts as a positive.
    Weaknesses:no probs so far...
    Similar Products Used:stock, which was Shimano HG-40.
    Bike Setup:Schwinn steel hardtail
    Bottom Line:For 25 bucks installed I'm happy. 13-30 is a good all 'round range for xc.
