from San Diego, CA Date Reviewed: September 28, 1999 | | Favorite Trail: | Sycamore Canyon | | Duration Product Used: | less than 1 month | | Strengths: | Man do they look sweet! so far nothing but smooth, quite running, and super quick shifting! plenty beefy around the bolts, and nice shift ramps and beveled teeth. and at $45 for a set of 3, why the hell would you buy anything else? | | Weaknesses: | could use pins, and they arn't Ti, but they have been made with the same care and attention to detail as Bruce's Ti rings | | Similar Products Used: | Avitar, Real, Shimano LX, XT, and XTR rings | | Bike Setup: | Giant Cadex CFM-4 Carbon Hardtail, 97' FS-Ti, with SPOX, Nytex cranks, Sram 9.0 system, a Profile Carbon Fiber XC riser, and Magura HS-33s | | Bottom Line: | Buy them before he runs out! Totally worth your while, buy a set, buy your cousin a set, and buy a few extras just to have them! I paid the same price for ONE real ring, and I like the Boone rings even better. Ti is definately my next step | Overall Rating: |
