    Date Reviewed: September 15, 2007
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Strengths:not too heavy. nice looking
    Weaknesses:noodley, isis
Similar Products Used:truvative hussafelt, shimano lx hollowtech, race face turbine lp, race face evolve xc ss.
    Bike Setup:gary fisher rig.
Bottom Line:these cranks flex alot. it drastically decreases efficiency on climbs and acceleration. left crank arm fell off(bolt loosened up) in a race. happened to someone else with the same crankset less than a mile earlier in the race(first lap). i know several other people who have had the same problem, and i've had the same problem with every set of isis cranks i've run. never stays tight after that. switched to the shimano lx hollowtech cranks and noticed an immediate and significant increase in power transfer. i ran the lx's on my other ss29er for over a year with zero issues, and i expect they'll provide me the same worry free performance on this bike. do not buy these bontrager cranks, and if you purchase a bike with them installed, change them at your earliest convenience.

    Duration Product Used:1 Year
Strengths:It's there when you buy the Rig.
    Weaknesses:Everything.
    Bike Setup:Stock Gary Fisher Rig
Bottom Line:This crankset plainly sucks, I just snapped mine after ~1600 miles of mild xc riding. At 5'5 and 165 pounds I'm no clyde and this should never have happened.

    Date Reviewed: May 1, 2007
    Favorite Trail:San Juan
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $140.00
    Purchased At:ebay
    Strengths:Light, Single Speed Specific
Weaknesses:Stripped lock ring after 4 months of use.
Similar Products Used:Raceface Deux single speed
Bike Setup:Fisher Rig(XL)with Bontrager carbon handlebar, stem and post. Raceface Deux crank (180mm).
Bottom Line:After about 4 months of use, the lockring holding the sprocket spider stripped. After 2 months, 6 bike shops, contact with Fisher, Bontrager, and Trek I have not been able to get a replacement. I am done and bought a replacement. What ever happened to customer service and standing behind your product?

Submitted by Joel a Cross Country Rider from Phoenixville, pa
    Date Reviewed: November 6, 2006
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Purchased At:Bike Line, Warminster pa
    Strengths:Looks, price
    Weaknesses:Strength weight.
Similar Products Used:Too many to list
    Bike Setup:GF Rig stock
Bottom Line:Over all, not bad for stock cranks. They look awsome not too heavy and cheap to replace. I used these for just under a year all over eastern, pa. Right away I noticed a good ammount of flex from them, but decided to deal with it (not that big a deal for a "fun" bike. I managed to bend the right crank arm after 9 1/2 months. If you can find these for $100 or less go for it.
