Submitted by tricky a Downhiller from uk
    Date Reviewed: June 25, 2003
    Duration Product Used:2 Years
    Price Paid: $60.00
    Purchased At:singletrack uk
Strengths:BIG, good all over grip, not too grippy that you stick to them, but enough to alow you movement, removable pins (grub screws!)
Weaknesses:Can't access the bearings as the cap head sockect at the end of the pedal must be glued in or something so you can't maintain them which is crap as after a week they begin to become very spinny pedals, not good when you are airbourne with your feet off the pedals and looking to put them back on before you land!!! You get me?
Similar Products Used:Atom lab, DMR, Primo
Bike Setup:Curtis SX24 custom, Fox Vanilla 125's, profile
Bottom Line:A massive pedal that is good at first but do not last long in performace. Better on a DH bike than a Dirt jumper cos of the pedals being a bit too spinny for my liking and also let down by the non maintainable factor! Every pedal needs greasing once in a while, and when you payingover $50 for a pedal, you want something that will last!

    Date Reviewed: May 13, 2003
    Favorite Trail:heavy
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $50.00
    Purchased At:favorite extrem store
Strengths:looks pretty, when your foot is on it, it doesn't move anymore, like you were locked on cross country automatic pedals ... and it's a bit strong :p
Weaknesses:none for me at the moment
    Similar Products Used:wellgo, woodman butterfly
Bike Setup:24 Bicycles "Le Dude", truvativ hussefelt DH, raceface signature DH, grimeca hydraulic disc brakes, marzo Super T, fox vanilla RC ...
Bottom Line:Well i did buy my "Le Dude" frame, then i had to change my pedals, and the choice was not a choice : i had to buy the 24's Toasters to go on the 24's bike ... i'm french, and i really really like those frenchy products like 24's stuff (take a look @ other products on their website) ...
    Finally, those pedals rocks :)

Submitted by dv8 a Downhiller from Portland, OR, USA
    Date Reviewed: April 10, 2002
    Favorite Trail:Sun Peaks (Kamloops, BC)
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $60.00
    Purchased At:Singletrack Cycle (UK)
Strengths:VERY large platform, very durable, great bearings
    Weaknesses:none?
Similar Products Used:Shimano 636, various other flat pedals briefly
Bike Setup:RM6, Shiver, D321 wheels, Hope brakes, etc.
Bottom Line:These are awesome pedals. A bit expensive over on this side of the atlantic (I picked them up in the UK), but well worth it. They have taken a BEATING as I've learned to race DH and just have a few scratches on them. They spin like they're brand new, I've replaced about half the pins (which have even ripped out, all without destroying the threads). They are immense, about 10x11cm, much bigger than anything else I've seen, even the Atomic Aircorps. I'd recommend these without hesitation. Only 4 for value because they're expensive but worth it.
