    Date Reviewed: March 7, 2008
    Favorite Trail:Race of Spades
    Duration Product Used:2 Years
    Price Paid: $80.00
    Purchased At:bow cycle
    Strengths:good grip, nice finish
    Weaknesses:pins, bearing and warranty
Similar Products Used:lots of other high end flat pedals
Bike Setup:demo 9 and santa cruz bullet
Bottom Line:I have two pairs of these pedals and they have great grip. they DO NOT HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY, though. The pins constantly fall out unless you locktite them in and the bearings crush very easily.
I went to warranty one pair and they said that the bearings are not covered under warranty, yet to quote there website:

"Double bushings with double row sealed cartridge bearings - Replaceable pins - Lifetime warranty"

Does that statement not sound like the whole pedal is covered? Especially since they mention bearings and litetime warranty in the same statement.

Good Pedals, but if you don't mind paying extra for good warranties from companies, look around because the axiom lifetime warranty is just marketing hype.

    Date Reviewed: May 23, 2007
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $70.00
    Purchased At:Gerick Sports
Strengths:Not to expensive, seem to be good quality, sealed bearing axles, large pedal body.
Weaknesses:Pins fall out if not lock-tighted and regularly tightened, wears out shoe soles.
Similar Products Used:Axiom Double Jump, Easton Flatboy, Welgo flats, Kona pedals, 1664 BMX Beaver Traps, generic platform.
    Bike Setup:Hardtail freeride/trail/dirt jump.
Bottom Line:Good pedal. Not the best one out there, but pretty good. Just make sure to check the pins from time to time and get a harder-compound soled shoe. Would I recomend them? Yes. Will I buy another pair? Probably not, there are many good pedals for the same price. But the Road Gaps seem to work as they should, and the sealed bearing axle is perfect. Good value for what you get: replacable pins, life time warrenty, sealed axles, large pedal body, durable. But do your research before you decide on these. You can get great pedals without the draw backs (AKA: DMR V-12).

    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $80.00
    Purchased At:fanatic co
Strengths:pins are good, adjustable length lots of surface area, spins super smooth sealed bearings don't spin as much making trick easier very light cromoly spindle
    Weaknesses:none so far
Similar Products Used:kona pedals cheap axiom pedals couple no name pedals
Bottom Line:there may be better looking pedals out there but these take the cake for durability and performance, and a lifetime warranty on top of that these pedals are winners!

    Date Reviewed: June 19, 2006
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $90.00
    Purchased At:periks
    Strengths:massive surface area
    tons of grip
    look cool
    sealed bearings
    LIFETIME WARANTEE
    Weaknesses:cost to much
    Similar Products Used:stock specialized
    DMR v 8s
    Crank bros 50/50 (suck)
Bike Setup:2 wheels a handlebar, you know...
Bottom Line:these pedals are sweet.. there is a massive amount of grip to them and you dont have to worry about breaking them in the first year of use because of the lifetime warantee!

the only bad thing i can see about them i have to keep buying shoes because of the gaping holes they leave(i might have to take some pins out)

if money is an issue id go with DMR v8 s or the v12s for a lil extra. but i take these pedals first any day
