Better flat control than my egg beaters. I use SIDI Dragon 2 shoes and the mating is like pornstar booty call.
Again, not much platform for the no-footer free ride jumper, but these are trailbike pedals for the vanity crowd. Will last forever with regular maint and rebuilds.
I loved my egg beaters, now I've got pedal porn to revolve around.

Contacted the Crank Bros support team, they were really cool. Really listened to my concerns, then suggested that use the shims. So I did, what a difference. Ureal. Easy to clip in and out .. no worries now. As I stated in the first review, these pedals are crazy light, and provide a good platform to pedal on. That said, you should not expect to clip out to run downhill, this is not the platform for that. Great XC pedal, with a bit of all mountain thrown in.
Props to the Crank Brother team for helping me out. They rock. Even mailed me a set of extra shims just in case I needed to leverage two per shoe (which I didn't).

That would be a great thing if you could reliably clip in. Once your clipped in, it's all good, but getting clipped in is crazy. If your kicking it on the trail side it's not a big deal, but getting clipped in while on the move is pretty much impossible. You have a better chance at landing a 360 air off a one ft. jump. Pretty distracting thing to deal with when you would rather be setting up for the next technical section, or looking to rail the turn. To be honest, I haven't contacted their tech support folks yet, but will be. Guessing that the platform is giving my shoe tread fits, and thus the issue. Hope that I can resolve, that was allot of coin to drop! Suppose these would be great if you never had to clip out and back in. Think that the standard egg beaters would have been a better choice, can't see them having the issue with the cleat tread. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
