Strong frame even with the seat tube cut-out, strong wheelset with the Sun Rims, strong and light bars (I cut mine down about 2.5 inches on both sides!), strong and light forks, strong and light cranks, internal headset is fantastic, Spanish BB saves so much weight too, and the 25/9 gearing - WOW! The whole bike weighs next to nothing! | | Weaknesses: | Are you seriously kidding? | | Similar Products Used: | Eastern Metalhead (07), Eastern Jane (06 and 07), Eastern Ace Of Spades (07), WeThePeople 4Seasons (07), Stolen Score (07), and none of them compare to the Eastern Element! | | Bike Setup: | Soon as mine was delivered, I took the front and rear brake off (what do you need brakes for), cut the bars and seatpost down (my seatpost is about 2cm long, and the flange on my grips stop at the base of the bend on my bars), put an Odyssey Elementry stem on, put titanium bolts in the cranks and stem, put on a set of white Odyssey Jim Cielenki sealed magnesium pedals on, took both pegs off (who needs pegs when you can 360, tailwhip and barspin?), ran a pair of KHE Impact tyres, and an Eastern Bondage chain with hollow pins - so the bike weighs nothing. All the other standard parts are perfect until they break (which probably won't be for a while!)! | | Bottom Line: | Put simply, it is a perfect BMX for both the first time rider, and a pro. It's perfect for any style or type of riding style, be it trails, street, park or vert. I take it through mud, dirt, street, grass, anything.
The bearings are awsome, the bike is solid, no need for upgrades, at leat that i have found yet.
Light as heck, bunny hops are easy, very nice bike.. | | Weaknesses: | SO far nothing, it seems its different for me hard to jump (i had a CCM cliffrunner before) so it takes getting used to.

A little on the heavy side, but after much park abuse and it's fair share of missed grinds, it has yet to bendor dent except for the grind side dropout. I guess that is to be expected. I took it apart and the bottom bracket had not elongated at all- and it was pretty beat up- tons of gouges. Seat is comfy and looks fine after you cover the rips in duct tape. The BArs feel great - almost no sweep - i like em, some hate em. Cranks are cheap but bombproof as well. NIce tires also the are - "grippy"
| | Weaknesses: | The wheels roll fine but it is hard to keep them true. Broken spokes are to be expected if you grind much. The black rims compromise breaking power - but who cares they look sick, just squeeze harder. The rear is a bit long, manuals get tricky. The pedals grind down FAST - get some with replacable pins Asap. The pegs slide fast out of the box, and are big - i cut some weight with some shorter. smaller pegs once i got the hang of grinding. Gyro - yuck. too much to deal with there - get a long cable instead. Seat post guts suck - cant keep em tight | | Similar Products Used: | First ride. | | Bike Setup: | Choed the bars for comfort and the seat post for weight. New grips and a wider brake lever some pedals and a long cable later i'm happy. Spray painted the cranks too - tha all black thing got old. | | Bottom Line: | For being my first bike i like it alot. It has yet to suffer from any real failures in the face of alot of newbee abuse. I know it is a dirt jumper, but i ride park and street stuff and it handles what i throw at it just fine.
