    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $250.00
    Purchased At:Urmmm....
Strengths:Really strong and solid feel to It, I feel confident throwing anything on this rig...not that I can mind you ;) Very smooth In riding too, from dirt to street.
Weaknesses:Ermmm, the pedals are kinda poor In the wet...can get slippy fast, not to mention painful. Also the bottom bracket ain't the strongest. I have to check and tighten mine every couple of sessions.
    Similar Products Used:Nuuuu, first one
    Bike Setup:I won't bore you ;)
Bottom Line:Idea for beginners and upwards I'd say, certainly gives you a lot of confidence to ride and try new tricks. Just keep your eye on the bottom bracket...though not while riding! ;) Superb, I love It

Strengths:Very Lightweight if you remove pegs, front brakes, cut the handlebars and seat post. Very strong and durable
Weaknesses:CRANK! the crank on this bike could use some work... I haveto tighten mine up everytime I ride. Snapped a brake cable last week doing tire taps, but other than that, no other weaknesses
Similar Products Used:Haro, Mongoose, Gt, Pacific, anything from Wal-Mart
Bike Setup:As of right now... I cut a half inch off the ends of the bars, removed the pegs, front brakes, cut the seat post shorter, abd added stickers ;)

    Date Reviewed: October 28, 2005
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $170.00
    Purchased At:ebay
Strengths:Great strong bike. Can take nearly anything. Easy to pedal on and climb hills. Great for freestyle riding, dirt jumping or just simply cruising around your hood.
Weaknesses:The only real floor in this marvel is the weight of the bike. although its a very solid bike it does hav sum weight. i would suggest removing the peggs if your doing dirt jumping just to lighten it up a bit. the pegs add about an extra 1.2 kilograms. And sometimes the screws in the cranks come loose so you have to tighten them up every so often
    Similar Products Used:mongoose pro menace
    Bike Setup:????
Bottom Line:It is a great bike for me and it would be to many others. Littler riders may have more trouble getting it off the ground though. Very sturdy bike. Highly recomeded.

    Favorite Trail:Jet
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $50.00
    Purchased At:Used
Strengths:Very strong and durable bike, shouldn't get hesitant about doing anything on this bike, just because it feels very solid.
Weaknesses:Very front heavy, the stock fork on this bike is huge, and un-needed for urban riding, if your riding this bike in dirt the stock fork would be ok.
Similar Products Used:2001 Mongoose, 2002 Brodie Evolution
    Bike Setup:Stock, DK Iron-Cross Sprocket
Bottom Line:Overall an excellent bike, only real down-fall I see is the front-heavy issue. If you don't plan on j/b-hopping you there shouldn't be any worries. If your more of an urban rider, through different bars on it, and your set.

    Date Reviewed: July 4, 2005
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $150.00
    Purchased At:Gart Sports
Strengths:Looks good, fits good even though I'm 6' tall, 3 piece cranks are good and long and frame seems to be rock solid and is nicely gussetted - welds appear to be of good strength - I've only had this bike since yesterday.
Weaknesses:None so far for the price
    Similar Products Used:Various 1980's BMXs
    Bike Setup:100% OEM
Bottom Line:Great bike for the price. It was priced originally at 199.99 but I got it for 149.99 after getting a 25% discount.
I thne spend some $60 dollars on various tools for the bike.
Note - you need to get 19mm socket and an extension bar to get off the pegs if you need to transport the bike, also get a 10mm spanner and a set of allen keys - that should get you started along with a philips #2 screwdriver.

Strengths:A tough bike this thing can take a real beating.Nice style and is also great for around town riding. When u ride it u dont get tired ive rode mine 20 miles on one ride. Its ok for skate park type riding. To heavy for my tatses though. So its hard to get in the air.
Weaknesses:Well i got a bad one. :[ I got mine in 2003 right before they updated it so it has one piece cranks Mines been in the shop many times thanks to a bearing and sprocket issue. But the brakes wear down big time on u.
Similar Products Used:Diamond back ViperX,1980 diamound back viper, mongoose, schwinn, My friends free agent

Bottom Line:A good dependable bike but i would recomend getting a nicer freestyle bike if ur really serious about tricks.

Strengths:very good product in deed it comes with every thing you need to start jumpin with it. comes with 4 good pegs and the frame and fork are built strong.
Weaknesses:ok you might not like this one but the pegs and brakes way this bike down . the frame is a little heavy but u need a heavy frame.the cranks kinda get loose on ya but thats about it.
Similar Products Used:huffy TL-88 1999 (now thats a heavy bike)

Bottom Line:this a good start up bike for beginers or peeps whos been out riding for a while (like me) you will fall in love with this bike. The bike is made street but built tough for dirt. Put The right parts on this bike and u will have a grand daddy of a bike. Plus gt is a good company for parts and service Get this bike dont buy a over priced mongoose or schwinn(unless its the automatic pro series which is like 500 dollars so if want to go to parks or dig some dirt then this a good bike for you

    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $140.00

Strengths:The GT Compe is an excellent street bike. It is great for just cruising, though when you want to show off some tricks this bike is very eager. A great bike for any level of skill.
Weaknesses:The one weakness of this bike is its weight. Though I enjoy a hevier bike, the steel frame wighs down the bike, making it harder to get the bike off the ground, especially if you are a little guy.
Bottom Line:This is an awesome bike that is hard to beat in its price range. I strongly reccomend this bike and give it a 98/100
