Can be free riden but watch for bumps if your running 2 yellow or stiffer springs. remove one spring and add air to that side youl get more sensitivity with 1 spring and this makes the fork 100% more adjustable

Great fork for what it is meant for, dirt jumping, other than that it is way too stiff. I went to a ski resort and it was great with drops and jumps but it bounced all over when I was going over lots of rocks. Like I have said geat for what it is called a dirt jumper and it is very strong and durrable like all marzocchi's are. If I wanted a free ride or all mountain fork I woul never get this. If I wanted a Dirt jumping fork, by all means, I would get this with out hesitation. I put 3 chilis on overall because it sucks on slow speed sensativity and bounces all over going over lots of rocks.

This fork is beefy, super strong, no flex at all had it nearly a year!!! Runs super smooth doesnt need constant servicing, fit and forget!!

Some people might find the weight a bit off putting but i was 14 when i got them took a while to get used them but once i did i was flying like a bird!!! They do rattle a bit though!!

The bottom line is they are fantastic for what they are desighned to do and that is dirt jumping! Just pump them up and ur off!! Can take huge jumps to flat or very dodgy landings!! Buy these forks if your after a strong, hard hittting single crowner!

Coming from central PA i ride lots of xc (about 20-30 miles per week). I also go out and dirt jump and just ride on anything in town once or twice per week. I have read a lot of reviews on this fork before purchasing, and the one statement that rings true is that this fork is confidence inspiring. It has saved my ass many times on hard landings (that i fully expected to crash) and fast downhills. The weight can be a factor on long climbs, but the performance of a marzocchi is well worth the weight for me. Unless you are a beginner, or severely weight conscious, get this fork. I feel that most rock shox/manotous/fox shocks are too soft to do hard riding. I have never ridden a better overall fork.

I finally found out how to make the fork feel more supple and smooth on small bumps, before I got a All Mountain 1. I took out 1 spring and the put air pressure only in that side. It worked out very well. Could go from very soft and smooth to more progressive and firm with different air presures! I would still have the fork if it were not for my awesome All Mountain 1 fork!

if marzocchi could pull their headtubes out their heavily lubricated sphincters, they might be able to back up their product. it took numerous phone calls to find out how to adjust the forks travel, and once the forks bent at crown (my fault) it took close to 7 weeks to resolve. the first time they were sent back to me without the crown fixed, only the blown seal. i did not fret and only chalked it up as an error in communication. the second time i sent them back it took 3 weeks and numerous calls just to find out they would cost $110 and the marzocchi rep told me just to buy new forks, which is what i wanted in the first place, leading me to ask the question why had they not suggested this in the to begin with, since the labor and parts would bring the price such comparable to a Z(ed)-1 droff eh, the fork i originally told the rep i wanted if possible. so what i got instead were some sherman fireflys, only after selling my new marjokey forks for just under retail. damn, all this crap makes me want to live in a cave, deep in the heart of whistler, praying on the already doomed riders whizzing by on their marzocchi forks ( okay, maybe not 888ers and O.G. orange Z1 pilots) from my fully rigid steal beach cruiser/ A-liner. viva rigido. BTW forks worked great new!

I really loved riding this fork, the feel of the compression and rebound dampening was perfect, it feels better than any other fork i've tried, its right up there with the z150. It is strong as hell and sucks up 6' to flat landings like nothing. Iwas perfectly pleased with the fork (besides the weight) until one day after a ride i noticed that my headset would not turn past 90 degrees in either direction. I took the front end apart and as soon as I held the fork up I realised that the steer tube was bent. I was shocked as I did not recall crashing in any way that would put excessive stres on the fork crown. Besides the weight and the steer tube, this fork is worth much more than it sells for.

Very good feeling fork, gives you alot of confidence having that 6 inches of travel. all my friends say the steel stanchions will never break and i dont think they r lying. I do some seriously abusive riding. 6 foot to flat (not anymore) but i have done a few. I ride everyday. The shore is wut i ride, not the easy trails the hard ones. This fork is great for them it is extremely hard to bottom these i doubt u ever will. I was think about gettin a sherman slider, but i have liked how the dj fork is running. Great fork.
