from Severn, MD Date Reviewed: August 10, 2007 | | Favorite Trail: | DC Streets | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Purchased At: | Pedal Pushers - Severna Park, MD | | Strengths: | Steering is responsive, amoun of travel, adjustable travel, adjustable rebound, 20mm axle | | Weaknesses: | 20mm axle attachement - a QR would be a nice feature due to how often I drive to ride, non-adjustable compression | | Similar Products Used: | none | | Bike Setup: | Jamis Komodo - all factory w/ 2.4 Holy Rollers. | | Bottom Line: | The Komodo is my first dirt/street/jump specific bike. The fork is great but it is too soft for someone like myself who is 200+ lbs. It soaks up hits well but gets bouncy when you start to hammer. It also dives when you're hard on the brakes. I'm not sure if it can be stiffened up; I hope it can since I don't want to swap forks. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
