Strengths:
Plush, very tunable, just enough travel.
Weaknesses:
not for big 15-20 foot drops, but I'll never go anywhere near that big anyway.
Similar Products Used:
Super T, Boxxer, Xvert.
Bike Setup:
2001 Bullit, stock setup.
Bottom Line:
This fork is a really good reliable ride. I've put on tons of miles with minimal maintenance. I went to 5wt oil( I weigh about 170lbs ) and it made the fork way more responsive to adjustments. I've bottomed it out on some flatter drops but otherwise this fork is so nice. It keeps the front end lower which makes for better trail performance. all in all an excellent fork that I'll probably keep for my next frame.

Snapped it on and have had no need to adjust or fiddle with it. Tripple crown set up that fits with the factory specs of my bike.
Weaknesses:
Brake arch should be called the break arch. Went through 2 of them before I located an ENvy arch which is bombproof.
Similar Products Used:

Bike Setup:
Kona Stinky with many upgrades.
Bottom Line:
I am 275lbs. It is strong. Never bottomed out. Since replacing the brake arch all is good. I recommend to anyone who wants a QR20 triple crown at a good price. Basically a Super T with 130mm of travel.

Strengths:
STIFF, plush, adjustable, good-looking, progressive as hell, not too heavy compared to other burly dual crowns
Weaknesses:
bolt-on brake mount? why? may be a little too progressive even with minimum compression damping. Whats with the fake qr20? its like an oversized 9 mm axle!
'02 planet-x jack flash RAD, '00 Mr. T with blackspire arch, hayes purples, Vuelta excalibur dh weelset, xt drivetrain, FSA x-drive 3-piece cranks, Evil security chainguide...nice stuff :D
Bottom Line:
This fork is such an improvement from my previous fork, a 2002 dj2 that feels like a wet noodle compared to this. The compression and rebound damping adjustments REALLY work! This fork would be great on just about any bike other than cross country, as it is fairly hefty (5.7 lbs.) that doesn't matter on freeride/dh bikes though. If i had a chance to get this fork or a super t, i would definately choose this, its just so much stiffer.

Strengths:
Smooth travel, stiffer than a single crown, not too much travel, replacable arch, QR20 axle better than regular QR, external adjustments, easy to rebuild and work on, replaceable arch, infinately tunable like all bombers (springs, oil height/weight), look great.
Weaknesses:
Horrible compression cartridge, QR20 not as nice as a real 20mm axle, don't know why they didn't cast the disc brake mount into the lowers.
Cortina 4130 slalom, Mr.T, Blackspire arch, Azonic cranks, Truvativ 2 guide, Hayes 8", Easton bar and pedals, more stuff
Bottom Line:
This fork would be the best fork in the world if it weren't for the new-for-2000 compression cartidge in the left leg. Travel would stop at 3" until I drilled two 2mm holes an inch from the bottom through the cartridge and used 5wt oil. Then it was perfect. It used all the travel and still had some adjustment. A real 20mm axle would be stiffer but the qr20 is pretty convenient. Easy to work on and tune like all Marzocchis. The last of the good ones, before they got too much travel (for a hardtail) and qr20+ and m-arches.

Strengths:
This fork kicks butt. Replacable Arch. Awsome Seals, Tunability. Stiff as hell. A monkey could rebuild this fork. I dont see why you would pay a bike shop to do it.
Weaknesses:
QR20 is kinda wimpy, would have been better off running this fork with a solid axle like the older Super T. Witch is also a kick ass fork.
Similar Products Used:
Most Marzocchi's, Rockshox's and Manitous.
Bike Setup:
Small Dh/Dual/Dirt- '01 Stinky Deelux with mr T and Black Spire chain guide. guide. DH/Shore - '02 Stab SE with '01 Monster T, MRP Guide, 8 speed.
Bottom Line:
Although running a single crown 5" fork would be lighter I find that a full suspension really brings out the flex in single crowns. Even when I sell my Stinky Im goign to keep the Mr T. Its the perfect fork for if a certain race course doesnt requiure a Big Fork. Plus you can tune the Mr T up to 6 and 7". You can swap in cartriges from a 01 Super T for 6" or 02 Super T for 7. This is handy if you run wide tires and the M arch wont allow it. Thats the other real benifit to the Mr T. The arch will bend but you can put it on a straight edge and bend it srtaight or buy a new one. I broke an M arch fork. I will never buy a 1 piece lower assembly again! Im now loyal to bolt on Arches on Marzocchi Forks.

* Looks great * Really plush * Really strong * 20mm axle * Excellent amount of travel for the price * Dampening and compression adjusters actually works * Really stiff. I dont mean when you go boing-boing, I mean that the fork doesn't fold in under you when you pull front brake. You also dont have to check if the fork is still OK after every ride.
Weaknesses:
* It takes a while to get to the dampening adjusters, but you don't need to fiddle with that daily.

Bottom Line:
This fork is excellent! You are always in control! On one dropoff I landed on my front wheel and the fork just kept the rubber to the dirt until my rear came down! You don't even need to read all the other reviews, this fork is EXCELLENT!! Go and buy it now! And dont worry about it not having booties, nothing gets past that true Marzocchi seals! Bike Setup:
Kona Stinky, 8" disc on fork, BETD linkage plates for matching travel.
Bottom Line:
The fork I'm reviewing is the 2001 Marzocchi Super T. This description (Mr. T QR20) seems to be the closest that MTBR has. About the fork, though: it is very plush and adjustable (preload, rebound and compression damping). It is not amazingly stiff, as I can hear my disc rub from lateral flex in the fork every once in a while on the trail, but then again it is not amazingly heavy either. The chrome finish is beautiful, and so is the general workmanship. For most people, 6" of travel and double crowns are overkill -- however, if you have to have a fork with this much bounce and your frame can handle it, then the Super T is an excellent choice.

Switching back and forth between forks daily really makes things clear. This fork is very strong and rigid. It has smooth travel and is responsive to dampening adjustments. I love it on the dual track, I don't race but love to burn down it with this big boy. On my hardtail it's a little big, I like to put it on every once and a while and jump ramps and run over small childern and cats.
I have not had any problems with the QR. You just have to check it just like everything before you ride. It's no different than standard QR just bigger.
I payed $600 for it spring 2000 so 5 chilis for Value It the best fork I've riden so 5 chilis for Overall Rating

When I had replaced the standart left leg cartridge with the compression adjustment by a new one, similar to the right leg, with the rebound adjustment, it really started working. And now its work is really great on DH trails.

it doesn't work good enough with the standart left leg cartridge (w/compression adjustment)

QR 20 triple clamp is a joke. no need for 20mm because it is no better/stiffer/stroger than a regular quick release fork in the same class. I mangled mine on a tame downhill trail. The thing just gave out underneath me when I needed it the most. I dont remeber what happened but I when I saw my bike after a trip to the hospital, I knew I cant compromise anything on my bike. STRONG, no more QR anything!

the fork should have all sorts of warnings on it! Its not as strong as Marzocchi implies! Its no downhill fork thats for sure, unless you are 100 pound chic! 2 chillies, coz it looks nice, has flashy name and open bath, minus 3 chilles for my hospital bill! Next to heaven, I still don't have the proper drop clamp, so I'm missing out on over an inch of travel, still it's so nice to be able to point and shoot. This is so much better than the headshock... night and day, now if I could just stay on the bike..... The wieght is right up there, the whole bike comes in at 38 pounds, but I can still ride up Mara Mtn (2.5 hour climb) and I can still throw it over a fence, so it MUST be good.
