I'm about 180 lbs plus my normally loaded seat bag and 2 liter camelback, let's say 205 total. I ride mainly South Mountain in Phoenix, usually about 50 miles a week. I ran the Saguaro 29x2.2 on the back at the minimum 37 psi rating with a slime tube. This tire gets great traction climbing, cornering, descending, grabs on loose, loose over hard, hard, and rock, rolls well. I broke it loose occasionally climbing, but I also did my Nevegal, never cornering. Unfortunately, I ripped the sidewall out of it on about my 12th ride, no fault of the tire but a result of my crappy line picking through a technical climb. What I had bought was a Saguaro High Performance, which Geax says is xcountry/enduro. Replaced it with the Saguaro TNT, which is more enduro/am, heavier casing and sidewall, same great tread. By the way, have this paired with a WTB Weirwolf 2.55 up front, works great where I ride.

For the usual trail conditions in the southeast with an ss set-up this is the best tire bar none. Started with just the front and various choices in the rear trying to find the right combination. Well, it turned out to be the Saguaro traction direction in the rear and rolling direction up front. For ss hardtail riding the momentum these tires allow is unmatched considering the cushioning and traction they provide. As long as geax keeps making these I will never buy another tire.

I run these tires on my geared and single speed bikes. The combination of durability, value, low weight, fast rolling can't be beat. I'm looking for a slightly faster rolling tire (perhaps Schwalbe Racing Ralphs), but I know I'll be giving up some of the other great features this tire offers. It still rolls great. Has great durabality and is light for such a large tire. I've ridden on many trails with sharp rocks (think sharp lava in Maui), and didn't get any sidewall cuts. Also, the 2.2 is a REAL 2.2 inch wide. I also have the WTB WeirWolf LT 2.55's, and the Saguaro's are just as wide. Need a great all around tire? Get'em.

This is a very good dry conditions tire, it rolls well, grips well, has good trail feel and a pretty thick cap to reduce punctures. I run it tubeless with stans at 22psi (I weigh 175) and it grips really well in everything but gravel where it doesn't have tall enough knobs to find traction. It's pretty decent in sand and excellent in northern California good traction loose soil. I've had very good luck with it in very rocky southern california conditions, I just have to watch out for loose over hard or deep gravel as it doesn't have a deep tread like a Nevegal or other more aggressive tire.
It was very difficult to mount this tire tubeless as it wouldn't go on straight. I had to use a compressor and mount and remount it about 10 times before the bead finally settled in a mostly straight way. I was glad I have the injector as setting it up with tons of soapy water to set the bead then injecting through the stem was difficult enough, I couldn't imagine trying to remove the bead to put it in then trying to set that bead back straight.

This is a great tire. It's flaw comes in loose over rough as the tread is not deep enough to penetrate but for most conditions, very solid performer. I've used it both on the front and the back. On the back, in the traction direction, great out of the seat traction with minimal loss of braking traction. Up front, in the speed direction, great tracking and rolling.
I ran this mainly in the back, paired with a WeirWolf 2.55 LT up front this summer and enjoyed that combination. Currently running it up front with a Crossmark out back and can't complain either.
As long as your terrain doesn't require a more significant tread bite like the Rampage would offer, this will work great for you.

Hook up well in corners, and skid predictably as well. Confidence inspiring. Big tire for only 600 something grams. Local trails at the moment are smooth firm moist dirt where just about anything works great, but I liked em just as well in this summer's sand. Sealed up perfectly first shot with Stan's...love that stuff!
