Strengths:DURABLE!!!This are the best spokes for disc brakes!!!
    Weaknesses:NONE!!!!
    Similar Products Used:REVOLUTION...
Bottom Line:If you want a spoke that is much more resistent than REVOLUTION and just 35g hevier for 72spokes the super comp is for you, for a stiffer wheelset with disc brakes they are the BEST!!!!

    Date Reviewed: October 27, 2006
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $60.00
    Purchased At:eBay
Strengths:Super strong and lace super tight without stripping, lightweight, stay true
    Weaknesses:None experienced
    Similar Products Used:Other Swiss spokes
Bike Setup:Custom built K2 Zed Team XC race frame with XT and Stylo Team drivetrain, Zokes MX Comp ETA 120, Avid BB7 discs, Raceface O\S carbon bar, Continental Vertical Pre 2.3 tires, etc
Bottom Line:Could not believe my eyes. Got these in just the length I needed on eBay of all places. Used these spokes laced 3X to a Synchros Big Box 32H double eyelet wheelset after my Mavics bent going downhill and sent me flying. Have complete faith in the Super Comps and these rims because they have taken a pounding over all types of terrain and stayed true to the mm. Never had to retrue. Tensioned a bit more than usual and had to hard grease the threads to get them good and tight in the nipples but the work paid off.

    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $1.00

Strengths:Lightest DB spoke you can buy that are strong enough for disc brake use. Usually can be bought for the same price as Comps.
Weaknesses:A little of spoke windup wneh building tthe wheels. Hard to find.
    Similar Products Used:DT, Wheelsmith
Bike Setup:Ellsworth Truth: X-0/XTR, DT 240S centerlock hubs w/Mavic XC717 rims, alloy nipples, Stans tubeless
Bottom Line:These wheels come in at about 1500 gms and have been outstanding performers. The spokes are stiff enough that I do not notice any flex when climbing or descending. I'll repost after I have a few more miles on them.
