    Date Reviewed: April 14, 2007
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Strengths:Thin and fast
Weaknesses:Punctures, wholes and longevity (which sucks). always get flats and slow leaks in the tubes due to easy punctures in the tire. Tons of visible wholes in the tires immediately after short period of use. Even though this product was almost free for me, knowing what the low quality of the product I wouldn't even take it for free if it was offered to me once again. Poor quality and durability.
Bottom Line:Poor quality and not worth pruchasing, getting it for free or even looking at it. Waste of time and tons of problems.

    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $20.00
    Purchased At:Bike Stop
    Strengths:Super fast
    Weaknesses:cream side wall
    Similar Products Used:None
Bike Setup:Mrazek hard tail, rigid fork, plasma 9 speed
Bottom Line:These tires turn your extra mountain bike into a road bike
easy 20 mph average on your training rides. Buy them if you hate road bikes and the trails are to wet from weeks of rain and you have to ride.

    Favorite Trail:Minneapolis Lakes, Greenway
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $10.00
    Purchased At:Penn Cycle
    Strengths:Super fast.
Weaknesses:None so far. I am a little worried about rain and punctures, but none so far.
    Bike Setup:Trek Mountain Bike
Bottom Line:Like most people that buy mountain bikes in the city, I just wasn't doing any off road riding. A sturdy bike is nice for urban riding, but mountain bike tires are a major drag on paved trails.

Anybody who rides their mountain bike on pavement should switch to these and experience the difference...it is simply amazing. No, they won't take you off road, but on pavement, there is no comparison. They are inexpensive, too.

    Date Reviewed: August 5, 2002
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Purchased At:trailblazers
Strengths:fast fast fast. Rolls smooth and effortlessly. Grips pavement well. Haven't dealt with real rain conditions yet but i've been assured they're as confident as semi'slicks. The rubber is quite sticky...like a basketball shoe.
Weaknesses:Punture un-proof. Had the bike for a week and got a small piece of glass wedged in. Replaced tube, cheap, still using the tire as it is not totally damaged. But I ride at high pressure so it IS only physics that you cannot fight against when riding over sharp objects.
Similar Products Used:WTB superstock (on my old Fisher) Specialized Kevlar semislicks (not fun -too hard, roll resistance) Michelin Wildgripper Rock (sweet! fast and cozy and good grip)
Bike Setup:Kona MuniMula, XT/deore, AVID 5, Deore crank, hubs, Mavic 222 rims (light but weak) Bomber mxc (sweet). More then I need for city commuting but once you ride high you can't go low.
    Bottom Line:FAST TIRE!
Great for city commuting or courier (maybe keep an extra tube with you) They are fairly cheap so its no big investment worry. But check out Michelin Wildgripper Rock if you want something more loungy and fast, but not AS fast. If you're not racing then its no big deal.
Just watch for glass with these when riding high pressure!
I think it should only be standard to find city slicks with built in kevlar or the like for punture proofing!
