Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from Bellingham Summary: This trail was fun. Nice epic up in the alpine. I rode it yesterday and the trail was in good condition, but it was very cold. There was snow at the top and the wind was blowing. I started at 3:30 so it was kinda late, sun was getting low. I saw 4 other people while I was on my way up, so I it was a good time not to run into hikers. It took me about 1:15 to climb to the top, so not an all day epic, and I was back to my car about 5:20. I had to stop and warm my hands up about 4 times on the decent. I was at the top less than 10min cause I was freezing. Go when it is warmer or bring plenty of layers. I'll ride it again when it is warmer. Recommended Route: up then down Other recommended trails in the same area: Combine this trail and the cedar creek trail for an all day ride? I rode at foggy dew a couple years back and had a great time, simialar trails, just lots more.

, from Sumas, Wa Summary: One of the very best for overall fun and incredible views. The grade is perfect for maximum fun factor. Other recommended trails in the same area: Echo the other review...PLEASE ride with courtesy and leave no trace. Best weekdays and late in the day after the hikers have headed down. Please avoid confrontations....once you've ridden this trail, you will also want to see it stay open to bikes.

, from Lake Stevens, WA, USA Summary: The ride to the lake (under 2 miles) is an easy, pleasant, beautiful ride for beginners and youngsters. (Disclaimer - several years have passed since my pass ride...) The climb to the pass is several miles more and a little rougher (lots of water bars, some rocks) but well worth it. Spectacular mountain views, my favorite ride ever. ***PLEASE PLEASE be "super-sensitive" on this trail! I want this to stay open to bikers! Please keep your speed down and be courteous to hikers (lots of 'em here) so they don't write complaint letters to the USFS. Please stay off the illegal parts (no Pacific Crest trail riding). Recommended Route: The directions don't mention you need to turn off Highway 20 (at the Cutthroat Creek bridge if I remember right) and drive about 1 mile to the road end at the Cutthroat Creek campground.
