Days River Trail
14 reviews
 4.36 of 5

Trail is singletrack with multiple circuits. Follow sign posts to the right each time to increase circuit distance. Lots of fairly easy and moderate hills for some good up & down travel. Also heavy woods (this part of the UP is mostly conifer forest in sandy soil) so watch out for the tree roots and sand patches.

Summary:
The trail is in pretty good condition after a rain. It would be sandy in the summer, but fall riding was great. You can go really fast, not very technical. Good for anyone with a hard tail bike. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good workout.

Recommended Route:
The whole 18 miles is a lot of fun, very fast and a lot of fun.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Brunos Run(Hiawatha Nat. Forest), Harlow Lake(Marquette),

Summary:
i checked out the singletrack section in June 2002. It looks like it would be lots of fun but most of the brigdes that were built have either been broken or are no longer there? Props to the guys who started it keep it up. As far as the Ski trails are concerned, don't waste your time unless you playing with the family. They were pretty lame.

Recommended Route:

Ridden Trail:
Once a week

Summary:
Right after the parking lot, take a right about 15 ft into the main trail. You'll see a burnt out trail known as the singletrack. After dropping down into the valley, take a left and experience the best bridge section around. After crossing about 25 bridges, you'll find the teetor totters and Boardwalk. Have Fun

Recommended Route:
The only trail worth riding is the singletrack to the right. It contains a huge teeter totter and some advanced bridges. Come ride the Boardwalk baby!!!!! The bridge reaches insane heights and isn't that wide. come try the best track in the U.P.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Marquette-Ewok Village is a blast, your Mom and your Sister are extreme. Come try the Days river track though. You won't be dissapointed

Summary:
This trail has the best scenary around. On the tricky part of the course the teetar toters and logs are the most fun to ride on. before you hit the sandy spots i would recomend riding in 1st to 3rd gear as it will slow you down some, a bike with full suspension will give you a smooth ride as the hardtails will be putting you on your keester with the tree roots. If you haven't been riding long i would recomend you should not ride the trail if you are a first timer.
During the fall when the leaves are down is most dangerous to ride because of hidden tree roots. althoug you can see more wildlife.
watch out for walkers on the way.

Recommended Route:
Same as above
