$3000.00 | | Purchased At: | ebay | | Strengths: | Oh yea can you say fast and comfortable. This thing is unbelivable. | | Weaknesses: | None at all. Very light, comfortable, responsive, easy hanlding, ect. You get the picture. Awsome bike. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Date Reviewed: October 18, 2006 | | Favorite Trail: | any | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Purchased At: | LBS | | Strengths: | Strong, LOOKS and Light | | Weaknesses: | none | | Similar Products Used: | Alloy hardtail & Full Suspension | | Bike Setup: | standard | | Bottom Line: | For the price, Engineered & quality Giant bikes are awesome. The frame feels like a full suspension bike on the hardest setting with the hardtail in the mix for going fast up or down the trails. Giant should make this frame more stiffer without gaining weight and it will be perfect. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from St-Eustache, Qc, Canada Date Reviewed: November 17, 2005 | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Purchased At: | Centre du vélo st eustache | | Strengths: | frame, fork, crank, wheels | | Weaknesses: | brake levers, grip, | | Similar Products Used: | trek carbon | | Bike Setup: | stock with geax tires, avid sd sl brake system, xt normal rear derr, crank bros egg beater sl pedals, x cartirdge in the fork | | Bottom Line: | Really great bike with a frame that suck up quite every vibrations. The fork is a little heavy but it worth the strength, precise stering and with the terralogic in the fork, this is the absolute efficient bike. Try one if your looking for a stiff hardtail and if your looking for performance. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

a
from Midland, MI USA Date Reviewed: August 24, 2005 | | Favorite Trail: | Stony Creek | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Strengths: | Good component mix. The little touches are nice such as the race face bar and stem, hutchinson tires, and Time pedals. The frame is very stiff when sprinting, but handles well in the rough as the carbon flexes. | | Weaknesses: | Its a little short in the top tube. I rode a specialized 17" and now this XTC in 17". I feel a little bunched up on it, but I have a longer than usual torso for someone who rides a 17". | | Similar Products Used: | Specialized Stumpjumper | | Bike Setup: | Mavic CrossRoc wheelset with tubeless Hutchinson Python tires, Shimano LX Dual Control Levers, Thomson Elite Set Back seatpost, Selle Italia XO saddle, ODI lock on grips, Specialized Elite Classic wireless computer, Shimano XT cassette, Sram PC 69 chain....otherwise its a stock bike. | | Bottom Line: | Bottom line is that when Giant makes a carbon bike, they do a good job of it. I have raced their carbon road bike and now their carbon XTC and I love them both. Though I wish that I could have sprung for the XTC 1 with full XTR, this bike is perfect for what I am doing. Took a bad crash today and its still perfect (except for that scratch..go figure). | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
