Weaknesses:
Doesn't look like we get the same gear as outside NZ.Shocks are Rockshox Indy(rubbish for someone my size..105 kg)Bars too wide, spokes not strong enough.I keep breaking bits off.

Duration Product Used:

Price Paid:
$340.00
Purchased At:
Supplier - Probike - Port Elizabeth
Strengths:
Strength & weight of the frame - I'm 2m tall weighing 105kg and this bike takes every beating I dish out to it.
Weaknesses:
Front Fork and front brakes - I changed these on purchase
Similar Products Used:
This is my first bike with shocks on the front.
Bike Setup:
I went for a Manitou SX-R shock and an entry level disc brake for the front. More comfortable saddle - "V-split"
Bottom Line:
For the price I paid I got a hell of deal - given it was at factory direct price, but the bike retail for about $500 US here in South Africa - still a great deal.
Whether you are a weekend worrior or serious biker, you won't go wrong if this is your choice.

Duration Product Used:

Price Paid:

Purchased At:

Strengths:
Extremly fast, very high quality frame.
Weaknesses:
The Jett C shock was a poor choice for the bike.
Similar Products Used:
Mongoose Zero G SX, Giant, K2, GT, Specialized Rockhopper.
Bike Setup:
Upgraded to LX components, Manitou SX-R shock, clipless.
Bottom Line:
This on one heck of a bike for the money. I spent a few bucks upgrading some components after the first year of riding. Replacing the Jett C with the Manitou SX-R was the smartest thing I have done to the bike. I have beat the snot out of it (jumps, log piles, hitting trees, etc) and it keeps asking for more. I love this bike! Anyone, and I mean anyone would not go wrong picking up this bike.

Duration Product Used:

Strengths:
Light weight. Geometry. V-bar. Comfort.
Weaknesses:
Suspension fork. Bottom Bracket. Handle Bars too wide.
Similar Products Used:
None.
Bike Setup:
I cut 2 inches off the handle bars to make them narrower. SPD pedals. Body Geometry Seat. Bar Ends. Shimano bottom bracket.
Bottom Line:
I've been riding my Haro for about 6 months now and at first I wasn't that thrilled with it. The bottom bracket was making a creaking sound and I didn't like my hand placement on the bars. After replacing the bottom bracket with a shimano part and cutting an inch off each end of my handle bars the bike feels great. It handles extremely well and feels solid. I would like to upgrade the suspension fork because the RS Jett C just doesn't cut it. I highly recommend this bike for the beginner to intermediate rider on a budget. Most of the parts are solid and the bike looks and feels great. I'm a pretty hard rider and I never feel unsure when I'm on some tricky terrain.

Duration Product Used:
Less than 1 month
Strengths:
Price, Weight & Frame in general, Gears. The rest is excellent as well, but nothing stands out as much as those 3 things.
Weaknesses:
The front brakes really shriek. Speed suffers slightly on very fast downhill sections due to the size of the front gears, But if you're not a speed demon you'll probably never notice.
Similar Products Used:
None
Bike Setup:
standard
Bottom Line:
It really flies on flat roads due to its weight, On steep hills you'll probably never get off and walk again, And if you do it's probably due to poor physical condition rather than the bike. As i mentioned in the Product Weaknesses it suffers a little in very fast downhill sections, But that's only if you enjoy going 60MPH+ like myself. It's the perfect bike for those on a budget. If money is no object there are probably better bikes out there, But this is the best i could afford, and i absolutely love it.

Price and weight, looks good too
Weaknesses:
BB, front shock
Similar Products Used:
I've ridden a few others but this is my first MTB
Bike Setup:
ditched the RS Jett C and added a Z1 Alloy Zoke
Bottom Line:
For the price this is a great bike. I hated the original fork, but expected that and got a good deal on a Zoke which I love. I picked the bike up for 500 and it uses the same frame as Haro's top end Escape (23.5lbs and $1450). I plan to upgrade what I want and have the perfect bike (for me) for about $1000. The BB is making noise, so it's the next upgrade. Haro's 7.2 for 2000 is ALOT different! Would be 5 chilis except for the BB.

It came down to the Haro and IronHorse, both great bikes for the money. IronHorse looks better but the Haro has SLIGHTLY better wheels and RapidFire as opposed to GripShift (matter of preference).
