Date Reviewed: August 12, 2002
Favorite Trail:local trails.
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $299.00
Purchased At:Lattitude 45
Strengths:Very nice, and fairly comfortable bike. I often ride 10 miles to work on the bike and it can perform as a road bike just as well as an excellent trail bike. Great gear ratio for climbing hills.
Weaknesses:The only thing I was dissapointed with was the seat that came with the bike. The nuts have to be constantly tightened.
Similar Products Used:Giant bikes.
Bike Setup:Stock
Bottom Line:Great bike for the value.

Date Reviewed: September 23, 2001
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $309.00
Purchased At:The Bike Barn
Strengths:Great price, good looking, lightweight, very durable, no problems at all. Fairly comfortable.
Weaknesses:The stock seat gave me some problems.
Bike Setup:Stock
Bottom Line:I went looking to spend about 350-400 dollars on a bike. I had read the reviews on this bike and knew it was probabally the one I would choose. I just recently took it on a fairly difficult trail and let me tell you, I got my money's worth. I wrecked at least 10 times and not going slow mind you. Eveything held up, and after a good washing the bike still runs like new! There were people out there on 1000 dollar bikes that were holding up just as well as mine. I would highly recomend this bike to anyone. It is a great bike for someone just starting out, and it will last a rider for a good while. The only problem I had and a minor one at that, was the seat started rolling up and I had to tighten down the bolts. Some reviews said the components were a weakness, well I beat the crap out of them, and they still worked great, and still are working to this day.

Date Reviewed: June 15, 2001
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $280.00
Purchased At:East Ridge TN Bike Shop
Strengths:Great bike. Light Frame.Front Suspension is very cushey for a smooth ride.
Weaknesses:rear shimano derailer needs adjustments too much.
Bike Setup:Wellgo toe pedals/clips, Cateye enduro 2, WTB SST X3 seat,Shimano rapid fire shifters.
Bottom Line:Great bike. I have put 300 miles on it in the past 5 months and have not had any problems other than basic derailer adjustments. This bike is very tough and has one of the best frame designs out there.I let one of my friends ride it once and he went the next day and bought himself one.Hill climbing is a sinch with the Shimano 34T mega gear. This bike is a great value for 300 bucks.Haro makes a great bike.I would recommend this bike to anyone wanting a great mountain bike without have to spend all your life savings on a bike.
