Date Reviewed: September 30, 2009
Favorite Trail:Memorial
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $250.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:Aesthetics (Aggressive looking 6061 aluminum frame with oversized tubing and low stand-over height); responsive handling; weighs 30 lbs; smooth ride; feels light, quick, and strong; not bad for $250.00 US.
Weaknesses:Haven’t found any yet.
Similar Products Used:Diamondback Topanga; Specialized Rockhopper FSRxc Comp; Trek 4700
Bike Setup:2008 Haro Flightline One in Harlot Red. Stock, except for the short four-bolt stem I substituted for the stock long two-bolt stem.
Bottom Line:I picked this baby up last month as an end-of-season/last season’s model sale just before the 2010’s came out. I’m really glad I got a 2008 given that the quality of the 2009 model went down, and the price went up. I had been looking since June for a decent entry level bargain bike and finally found this deal. It’s the perfect bike for my needs. Also, I was surprised to see that Haro’s higher end bike that costs three times more only weighs three pounds less at 27 lbs.

Favorite Trail:still lookin
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $330.00
Purchased At:The Freewheeler
Strengths:Great entry level bike for a great price. Looks good, rides great.
Weaknesses:The pedals seem like cheap-o platic jobs, but they havent been a probablem yet.
Similar Products Used:Old Mongoose BMX and a big box piece-o-crap
Bike Setup:Stock
Bottom Line:This bike is great! I just got it a few months ago and so far have no complaints. Mostly I have been rididng packed trails and commuting to work so I cant really say too much about more complicated stuff, but the few times I have ridden on decent trails, it was excellent. I cant wait to get up at 4 am to ride to work now!(that might be a bit of an exageration)

Coming from a MTB rookie, I love this bike... very happy with the purchase. Great choice for anyone new to mountain biking or just wants a sweet lookin ride.

Is this 150 words yet?? How about now? I gotta be gettin close..
