Strengths:great trong frame. this bike also has very good components. my 2006 version came with all shimano deore and shimano deore lx.
Weaknesses:the fork sucks. if u get this bike change out the fork. it is soo heavy and the rebound is horrible. another small thing that really annoys me-the breake levers also suck i think i have gone through 5 or 6. the seatpost is also a weird size. i wanted to get a quick realse clamp but its such a werid size- i could not find any.
Similar Products Used:kona fire mountain, kona lani'a, specialized rockhopper pro disc, specialized hardrock xc
Bike Setup:truvativ dh bars, shimano mp4o5 clipless pedals. michellin tires.
Bottom Line:get this bike for the money- it t has some minor adjustments that need to made but it is great for wheelie drops, stopies, bridges and drops. you can really have fun with this bike.

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $699.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:Reasonably light. Good component group.
Weaknesses:Fork and Crank
Bottom Line:For the money, this is a great deal. The fork sucks and weighs almost 5lbs. I'm replacing it with a Reba. The crank is the next thing. The bike is nicely balanced and with some minor upgrades is a suitable bike for most applications.
