Bike Setup:
stock:- rockshox tora 289 fork, rockshox bar 2.1 rear shock, avid Juicy 3's, travativ firex crankset, sram X7 derailer, wtb speed disk wheelset. wtb finishing kit
Bottom Line:
great first full suspension bike. feels more like a hardtail to ride but takes the edge off impacts and totally absorbs smaller bumps, giving you the confidence to take bumpy sections at speed without compramising uphill sections. I would really recommend this bike to any one who like a hardtail but wants to be a bit more adventurous with the line they take and the speed they take it.

Bottom Line:
I loved this bike from the moment I saw it! And when I found out it was voted XC bike of the year by Mountain Biking UK Magazine, I had to look deeper.
I also felt the bob on flatground, but it's almost nothing and it doesn't affect your riding at all.
I ride a '16 and have so much fun with it. I never had a full suspension before and this works perfectly for me. It's a great transition bike! It's the best bike I had in a LONG time!

Strengths:
relatively light, good for climbing, good components
Weaknesses:
rear suspension bob
Similar Products Used:
Giant Rincon Hardtail, 2007 Haro Sonix
Bike Setup:
Stock everything, except DMR V8 platform pedals
Bottom Line:
This bike is well setup and has good components, the air suspension on the 07 model is good. When I went climbing in the mountains, the back end felt really stiff and it climbed like a hardtail. It also seems quite light and agile for it's size, but it is definately not a race bike. I have found that the rear suspension bobs a bit while you're riding around on level ground, not a lot, but you're still losing some power to it. Overall I would say this bike is good and would recommend it!
