    Date Reviewed: July 30, 2008
    Favorite Trail:South Boundary Trail
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $80.00
    Purchased At:Taos Cyclery
Strengths:Salsa Rims come from a strong family of reliable rims. I have used Delgado's in the past with great success.
Weaknesses:Very short lived rim that needed constant attention from the beginning. It came from a reputable wheel builder, yet failed under heavy pedaling.
    Similar Products Used:Salsa Delgado
Bike Setup:Ellsworth Evolve with Schwalbe Little Albert tires.
Bottom Line:Everything was fine at first with the usual truing adjustments, not out of the question considering our terrain. Then while crossing a busy street on the way to a ride, the wheel folded completely under a sprint load. This forced me to walk it home. Very disappointed as Salsa rims have been good to me in the past. I have some Delgado rims that are several years old and have almost worn through the braking surface. I cannot recommend this rim to anyone.

Bike Setup:Salsa Dos Niner with SRAM stuff (X.O and X.9) WTB lites and Delgados
Bottom Line:Wheels felt pretty good after the first couple of rides and then wimblee wobblee. No major jumping or anything- had it trued by my mechanic and took it out again- Wheel became wobbly, took it back again and same thing happened. Again no major jumping, little bunny hops.
