Strengths:
Salsa Rims come from a strong family of reliable rims. I have used Delgado's in the past with great success.
Weaknesses:
Very short lived rim that needed constant attention from the beginning. It came from a reputable wheel builder, yet failed under heavy pedaling.
Similar Products Used:
Salsa Delgado
Bike Setup:
Ellsworth Evolve with Schwalbe Little Albert tires.
Bottom Line:
Everything was fine at first with the usual truing adjustments, not out of the question considering our terrain. Then while crossing a busy street on the way to a ride, the wheel folded completely under a sprint load. This forced me to walk it home. Very disappointed as Salsa rims have been good to me in the past. I have some Delgado rims that are several years old and have almost worn through the braking surface. I cannot recommend this rim to anyone.
