Altogether good rear derailleur, Damage resistant and nice gear change. Good price, and only minor problems. Good for entry level-ish to medium Cross Country, but if not you will still like it.

2003 Specialized Enduro- bomber fork and Fox shock-XT Drivetrain.
Bottom Line:
I wanted to get the XT version but my bike is near the end of its lifecycle so opted for the cheaper SLX. About $ 60 less. Functionally speaking it has the same general technology. I haven't taken it out on a really gruelling ride yet but so far this is a vast improvement over my old XT derailleur(s) I have had to replace 3 of them due to the tendency for them to break or get torn off. The low profile will probably reduce this and seems to fit very well with the Specialized set up. The chain slap is completely gone and the shifting is 2X smoother than the previous set up. Only 4 chilis because I don't know how long it will last. Hopefully until I decide to get a new bike.
