Submitted by A-Jey a Weekend Warrior from Chicago, IL
Date Reviewed: May 14, 2007
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $588.00
Purchased At:Village Cycle Center
Strengths:I wanted an older model P.Street because of the good reviews so i called a local bike shop and they had a 2004 model still in the box surprisingly in 2007 so they built it up for me. Solid frame and fork. good components except for the pedals (Wellgo sucks)
Weaknesses:Front end weight fork, handlebar stem combo heavy, pedals are sh#t!! a few minutes into my ride out of the bike shop i did a few curb jumps and the pedals bent Wellgo brand. Im not a heavy guy and I've been riding since the 80's I took the bike back the next day. they replaced the pedals free of charge. they gave me a pair of SNAFU pedals, no problems since.
Similar Products Used:2003-P.1, 2004-P.2, 2004-Giant STP,.. I own all three and they are great bikes also. I highly recommend them.
Bike Setup:Stock. but going to change handle bar to Easton EA70 monkey bars, Azonic shorty stem and Diatech Dirt harry brake levers. to shed some weight
Bottom Line:Good bike for the money, super solid, killer color combo.
smooth urban rider, great for dirt jumping!!

if you want the most bang for your buck. get the P.Street its indestructible, LOVE the bike you wont be disappointed.

Date Reviewed: January 24, 2006
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $622.00
Purchased At:JT Cycles
Strengths:Frame, Forks, Gyro
Weaknesses:Seatpole length, weight, brakes, weight, chainring clearance, weight
Similar Products Used:Specialized P.1
Bike Setup:Stock, aside from longer seatpole and Shimano M550 SPDs
Bottom Line:This Is Not A Courier Bike. I bought it because it was on special for less than half price, under the assumption that I could ramp up the gearing. The 36t chainring barely clears the frame as it is, and to get a smaller cog on the back involves replacing the rear hub at great cost. The weight of the bike, although decried by many, is not all that noticeable when it is being ridden, and the bike itself rides like a wet dream. My only major problem is the stock rear rim keeps shredding tyres. In the two months that I've owned it, it's sliced the beading away from two tyres, so if you buy one, then make sure your bike store is willing to replace the rim under warranty if the need arises.

Purchased At:supergo
Strengths:Solid Frame looks killer, cranks are steller
Weaknesses:heavy, forks
Similar Products Used:azonic steel head, p2
Bike Setup:Stock but I put pikes on (oo-ya)
Bottom Line:This is the most solid bike Iv riddin. Its definetly a dirt jumper or a urban bike. The gyro makes it possible to do airal bar spins. believe it or not, its so sturdy that I took it down carlmont and hit a 6 pack. Its fun to go by skates and show them ur shi*. I recomend to get new forks becuse the dj streets are shi*.

Submitted by James Yates a Weekend Warrior from Bloomsburg, PA, USA
Date Reviewed: July 16, 2005
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $575.00
Purchased At:Bike Line
Strengths:steel frame, strong forks, compact size
Weaknesses:heavy, brakes could be better, stock tires are no good for dirt
Similar Products Used:various bikes, but I wouldn't really call them similar
Bike Setup:stock, except more comfy seat and cheap dirt tires... I plan on adding a brake booster for the front to reduce flex
Bottom Line:I love this bike. It is strong and simple. It bridges the gap between BMX and mountain riding. I wish it could be more simple to convert it to multi speed, but singlespeed riding is going OK so far. The front brake design could be a little better. This bike isn't perfect and it definitely isn't for everyone, but it is as close as I could come to my ideal ride without spending well over $1000. I got a good deal by buying an '04 leftover!

Favorite Trail:dj's in santa rosa
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $950.00
Purchased At:Cambria Bike Emporium
Strengths:Frame, forks, bars, cranks, pretty much the whole bike
Weaknesses:HEAVY, rims aren't the best, brakes aren't too good either
Similar Products Used:P.1, P.2
Bike Setup:Stock except the grips and hookworms
Bottom Line:this is a great bike for street and dirt jumping but it is kinda heavy cause of forks but is also very strong. its definetly worth spending the extra $ instead of buyin a p.2 or somethin. the rims are pretty weak though and my back rim bent from overclearin a jump. the forks are heavy but are they are worth havin the weight because they are so strong. ive cased quite a few pretty big jumps and they arent messed up at all yet. bottom line is if your lookin for a good bike and are willin to pay some money u dhould definetly think of buyin this

Favorite Trail:the streets
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $982.00
Purchased At:united cycle, edmonton
Strengths:the entire bike is good. pedals, cranks, tires, forks, seat, frame, rotor, hubs, pegs, bars, stem, brakes/levere, sprocket i hear the rims are week but they have a grain to them for better braking.
Weaknesses:ive heard that the rims are week. i havnt found this yet.
Similar Products Used:none really
Bike Setup:stock
Bottom Line:this bike is great if you crossed over from BMX to a mountain bike and want the brest of both worlds. for me, this is one of the reasons i went with it. it isnt a starter bike because of the price. i paid about 1200 canadian. i would prefer a right hand drive but its all personal preferance. not to mention its only a $30.00 fix. the bottom line is if you want a bmx meets mtb, this is great if your price range is kind og high.

Favorite Trail:urban (government building)
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:Cheapskates
Strengths:front hub and grind guards add extra durability and fun opportunites, frame is pretty easy to manuever, oryg
Weaknesses:the rims really arent to strong i havent done anything serious on the bike yet and the back rim is already warped to sh*t and i do take good care of my bikes
Similar Products Used:bmx....
Bike Setup:stock p.street except for pedals, put my old funn soljam vipers on
Bottom Line:It is a sweet affordable fun bike. Great for urban, dirt and park. It offers endless possibilities of tricks with both the pegs and oryg. Definitely a keeper, only upgrade recommended is the rims, don't know what ill change mine to yet but definitely something stronger.
