from Boston, Mass Date Reviewed: August 1, 2004 | | Favorite Trail: | New Hampshire Off Road | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Price Paid: |
$1599.00 | | Purchased At: | Exeter Cycle, Exeter New Hampshire | | Strengths: | Great bike shop....I was going to buy a Giant NRS but was never sold on the hype of this bicycle. The Epic was tempting but felt that the specs in my price range were cheap. The bike is not light..however, I felt very secure with this machine under me as I went over bumps and hits. | | Weaknesses: | The jury is out with respect to the handlebars. My palms went to sleep as I rode and I called the shop to help me with this. | | Similar Products Used: | Giant NRS | | Bike Setup: | Fox R float, Shimano Dore, Manitou Black Fork | | Bottom Line: | For the $$$, I think it is a great buy. As with computers, I don't think that it is necessary to break the bank when purchasing these items since the technology changes rapidly. After three years of my riding stlye, I could thow these in the trash and not feel so bad about it. I like Specialized...good company! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
