Cross Country Rider Summary: I'm not sure who wrote the last review, but Deliverance is no easy track. Do not attempt if you are a beginner, or an average rider. It is a technical downhill track. Sure, you certainly do not need a DH rig, any cross country or freeride rig will suit, but a good level of skill is required. It's a wicked track that first follows an old river bed which is generally always wet. It then enters some sweet single track (whicjh is on a slight camber) that is quite demanding of the rider, with a few really tricky parts where you have to get the weight right back behind your seat post. It then flattens out somewhat and you have cross the same stream 3-4 times.
Recommended Route: Track location is close to Wellington's premium Mountain bike park, Makara peak. Access can be from Hazelwood Drive. Climb up the track called "Salvation". The whole loop takes about 30 mins. Other recommended trails in the same area: Makara Peak mountain bike park

Weekend Warrior Summary: Dont know when the first review was written - a bit of 'north shore' type work has been constructed at the top of the track. Great track - nice and fast. Not too much technical stuff. Other recommended trails in the same area: The whole of Makera Peak MTB park

Weekend Warrior Summary: Great alternative to the Makara Peak mountain bike park once in a while. Recommended Route: Refer to description of how to get there. Can also do as a DH shuttle run by driving to the top by heading up Wrights Hill Road. Can be picked up at Fitzgerald Place to head up again. Other recommended trails in the same area: Any of the tracks in the Makara Peak mountain bike park. Trickle Falls and Vertigo are fun. Although Vertigo can get ugly when it is wet.
