La Mesa Nature Park
1 reviews
 4 of 5

Mix of rolling singletrack and long fire roads underneath tropical tree cover. A usage fee of PhP200 is charged per rider, minimum of 5 riders per group. A ranger must accompany each group into the Nature Park, sometimes 2 are assigned to larger groups. The ride can begin on smooth single track or on a fire road, it's your choice.

Nice destination, especially for newbies!

Summary:
Great trails, what more can I say?

Excellent for both beginners and experienced riders because you can mix and match singletracks and fire roads to fit your fitness level and riding skills.

Recommended Route:
Take Commonwealth Ave. and turn right towards SM Fairview. At the end of the road (a T-junction), make a right and follow the road for around 1km. The parking lot is past the main gate of La Mesa, look for the watchtower behind the perimeter fence to your right. The gate is around 25 meters after the tower. Abundant parking.

For advanced riders, the single track behind Tower 11 is a great way to start the ride. Smooth trails with lots of descents and climbs with some wooden bridges thrown in. This comes out on the fire road that enters the park, this is the same road that you can also take if you don't feel like hitting single track just yet.

The climb to Tower 1, the highest point in the reserve, is tedious but ride along and you will be rewarded with a great view and a great ride on single track on the return trip.
