Pass under the powerlines, go left. Down hill begins immediately! Watch for snakes! Long ride or short ride, take lots of water.

Summary:
The trail my newly-aquainted friends took me on was awesome!! I couldn't even begin to tell you where we went. All I know is that we did some awesome rolling areas, then climbed up one of the "peaks", swung around the crest, and dropped back down, only to climb some more, and go out by TRW. It was the perfect ride, mainly because of the perfect conditions. It was a total of 17.2 lovable miles. The trail we took reminded me of every ride I had ever ridden in Arizona...it was that diverse.
Oh yeah. This has everything from intermediate-ish to Expert. It can be a short little jaunt, or an epic...just depends when you go, and how you feel.

Recommended Route:
I don't know the trail system at all. Bring someone that knows the area. I was supposed to go with a group online, but didn't meet up in the right place, so 2 strangers took me in and showed me the greatest ride YET!! (Granted, even though it was the middle of summer, it was overcast, and it had rained the night before, so tires stuck like a Sugar Daddy on Homer's back)[I hope some of you out there got it].

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Jacob's Crosscut - From Lost Dutchman Park, heading North-ish...although the other way is nice...if your ass can take it (Really rocky-to the point of annoyance/soreness).

Summary:
This is a favorite. Not a lot of riders, so take a friend. Lot's of exposure to the desert far away from help! Very fast down hills, tight technical turns (watch for cactus on the "U" turns!) solid trail for all skill levels. Avoid skidding as trail needs no further erosion! Have a great time!

Recommended Route:
Left under power lines and down down down! Watch for a easy to miss sharp right turn. If you miss it, you will continue to descend (which is okay too!). Turning right gets you to a short or long loop. Easy to follow trail. Get to the "T" in the trail it's decision time! Right means up and around the mountain past old mines. Left means the short cut down to the bottom where you'll pick up the end of the long loop and start the henous climb back to the top. If you're tired or not sure, take the short cut as the long route adds 1 hour minimum to your ride. Long route is very technical and very UP!

South Mt. / Pima & Dynamite
