, from Roxbury, CT Summary: I want more time to explore this area. I went in there because I heard some locals built some stunts, drops, etc. But much to my surprise I found some great, fast freeride trails and a killer dirt jump park tucked deep into the woods. The park is great, lots of jumps, a few rocks to drop off and a nice high berm to kick off of. Bring your helmet, you're gonna need it. Recommended Route: Don't even waste your time riding at the Hob Brook recreation area; the trails are short and a blind chimp on a tricycle could ride them without problem. If you want the good stuff check out the trails on the opposite side of rte. 63, about 1/2 mile towards Naugatuck. You will see a small little parking area with a trail head just beyond the Rec. area entrance, across the road there is a small trail into the woods, its easy to miss so look hard. Other recommended trails in the same area: i dunno

, from Middlebury, CT Summary: This trail is great. Bobby Bell showed me this trail this past year and its the only place i go biking these days. If you want to go riding on these trails give him a call he really knows his way around. Theres alot of variety on these trails, between the ramps, drops, bridges, rocks that create some tricky terrain and a seesaw. If you go here make sure you wear your helmet and i hope you have a great time... See ya there. Later, Dan Recommended Route: I would recommend taking a trip to the very top of the mountain and finding some of the very technical trails that have been built by the locals. If you find the narrow singletrack branching off the main trail you'll find a variety of ramps, bridges, drops, logs and even a seesaw. Other recommended trails in the same area: I really like the powerline trails Off of South street in Middlebury. If you ride them long enough you'll end up near a large lake in Southbury and theres alot of trails branching off from there. Good luck.

, from Naugatuck Summary: There has beeen a lot of development going on here in regards to trail build up and enhanced technical riding. A group of young kids have been building ramps and a variety of ramp related drop-offs, these trails are marked with orange dots. The newly developed ramp sections have been termed "The Carny" and have a remarkable resemblance to the Kranked videos-particularly the Vancouver portions. The area is coming along and is a great ride for a quick workout or if you just don't have the time to travel. Night riding has become very popular at the park, especially Tuesday nights. Any given Tuesday will put out between 7-10 riders for a night ride. Usually kicking off between 6:00 and 6:30 pm. I ride here at least twice a week in the summer, just for the quick local workout. Recommended for all ability levels. Keep on keepin' on!!! Recommended Route: I ride the trails on both sides of route 63. The opposite side of 63 has some great single track. There is a nice loop over there, a nice warm up for the dam side.

, from Naugatuck, CT, 06770 Summary: Many short but fun to ride trails. Lots of hills and rocks. I take my 2 sons, 10 and 12, here because you are never far from your car. Not for advanced riders. Recommended Route: I84 exit 17 take RT 63 south. You can park in Hop Brook or go to the Larkin Bridal Trail parking lot past the park. Other recommended trails in the same area: You can also take a ride on the Larkin Bridal trail which is a long flat easy ride. Go across RT 63 at the dam enterance.

, from Middlebury, CT Summary: The trails here are getting better thanks to some of the locals. If you live near by like me and don't want anything thats too challenging, give me a call and we can go. There are some pretty technical things that have been sprouting up this season throughout the park and its only gonna get better. For now only 3 knobbys but by the end of the season i might have to review again. Recommended Route: call me at 203-598-0172 and ask for little Bob. Ill show you where the good stuff is because its all pretty hidden.
