Montgomery Pinetum
0 reviews
 0 of 5

Montgomery Pinetum is open to Mountain biking. The trail system is mainly cross country, but in one area there are some rough rocky climbs, and a great jump. What makes this park so beautiful is that there are Evergreen Trees from all over the world, a large lake, and small river, and an abandoned mansion. Multi trails. The trail system begins just after the entrance across the green chained road that leads to all trails going downhill. Going down to the end of the road takes you to a small pond, and to the left of that pond is a trail system that leads you across a small stret to the more sophisticated trail system, but before that there are many trails that lead to various interesting areas. Three seperate parks intersect this park providing a unique trail system. Parking is to the right of the trail system near the Greenhouses that are open to the public.

Trail Directions
This large park is only a couple of miles away from the Mianus River Park. To get there, take I-95 to exit five. Turn left headed South on the Boston Post Road, and go for one mile, you will actually go on a bridge that spans the Mianus River entering Long Island Sound. At the Southern end of the Bridge turn right, and go to end of the short road, and there you will make a right onto Valley Road. You go for about 3/4 mile, and make a left onto Dandy Drive and go for half a mile, and make a left onto Clover Place going for 2/10ths of a mile the road ends with the entrance to the park directly across the street.
