you do understand power lines are private property!!they are owned by the local power company or private land owners,you cannot trespass on private land in ct. without written permission!!just because you see a path in the woods,is not a good reason to trespass.same with gas pipe lines,teneco is all private,and they want local law officers to ticket. stay on aproved trails!!

Summary:
Definitly a fun trail good uphill and descents, it's always changing never boring. awesome mud and lots of lakes ta ride thru.

Off of spencer street in manchester go down hillastown rd. too the 1st stop sign past the college make a left u can get on too the powere line trails right where bogners is.

Summary:
This trail is only for the most experianced rider. These fire roads and power line access roads are extreme. After a long day of riding, I cill by riding my quad on the trails near my own house, but those trails are my secret ones, and are not suitable for bikers due to the over-grown shrubs in the area.

Recommended Route:
The best route for the power line trails is in New Hartford, Connecticut. Nepaug state forest [ off of Rt. 202] is probably the best ride you wil ever have. This route is extreme for any biker. If your a biker, you have to try this sick trail.

This is a great route....KEEP THIS A SECRET!!!....Off of Rt. 202 in New Hartford, there is a road named south Rd. Go about two miles up the road and on your left is a dirt Rd. There is a sign that says it is closed, but that is just to scare the motor vehicals away. Go down the road a little way and park on the left, but not in the middle of the rd. Ride down the rd and you will come to a very small bridge. For some more action, you can walk in the woods a little on the right and find hundreds of animal tracks, and dont be suprised to see a lot of wildlife! When you get to the end of this rd, you can ride the power lines or the many back roads.

Briars, rocks, holes - that's what makes them interesting! :)
The lines near me are kept from overgrowing by hunters, bikers, and dirtbikes. Mostly dirtbikes.
They're a lot of fun to ride on themselves, and there are tons of side-trails off of them.

powerlines are not great trails. they are not maintained, and most have briar bushes, overgrowth, and holes and large rocks hidden in the grass that covers the trails. also the high voltage wires you ride under have been accused of causing cancer, not to mention they make a really freaky noise
