I have hiked the Hills for many years now. Have found at least two caves and have seen wildlife many times. The Hills should be preserved and any developement that is planned should be eradicated. Recommended Route:
I start at the cul-de-sac of Sleepy Hollow Rd and hike northward on the dirt road that wll eventually connect Sleeepy Hollow to Damien Heights Rd. There is a path off the dirt road that goes Northeast to the old quarry and then connects with the path that runs parallel with the Niantic River. Other recommended trails in the same area:
I haven't hiked the area north of Oswegatchie Hills, north of 95 that parallels 395, but I will soon. I know there are some bike trails that kids thru the years have developed.
