Ridden Trail:
Once a week

Summary:
I ride this trail often because it is close to home. Very easy ride; paved and flat. Depending on where you start, the trail has many breaks which intersect with street traffic, so be careful. Mostly, nice any time of day, I have never seen it crowded. You can pick up the pace by sprinting. Nice for a family ride, trail also has roller bladers and walkers but the trail's size comfortably accomodates everyone.

Recommended Route:
Usually pick up the trail at 45th Street east of Kennedy Avenue, there is parking/look for a gazebo on the south side of the street. Can also get the trail other places -- another is off Kennedy Avenue just south of Ridge Road, parking is a little more limited though but something always looks available.

Reviewed by: Kim , from Griffith

Summary:
If you are out to ride hard, this is a good route because there is not alot of traffic and/or children, especially early in the a.m. From Broad street to Colfax there is a dirt path. Not many places to rest though.

Recommended Route:
Griffith by RR tracks to Crown Point.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
From Griffith to Highland/Hammond best to go early also. Nicely landscaped and alot of benches to rest at throughout this trail. No water fountains that I have seen though.
