Cross Country Rider Summary: *****2007 UPDATED REVIEW*****
This trail is very delapidated. There has not been any work done on it in a very long time. Most of the trails are not marked or you cannot see or read the signs that are there. Half of the trails are closed due to logging. All of the back trails are completely overgrown to the point of looking like the rest of the forest, there is no way to follow them. OHHH.... And there are GROUND BEES on the trail!! One of the guys got stung 20+ times. This trail has hardly any singletrack, 3-4 miles ridable at the most, just logging roads and again "watch out for the bees". At one time I think it might have been ok, but as for now it is the worst trail I have ever ridden, and I have over 50+ trails under my belt. PLEASE NOTE: The ratings of difficulty and technical are both going to be a five because you can't see or find most of the trails. You spend more time off of you bike than on. Recommended Route: I would not recommend this trail to anyone. It is a waste of time and your money. Other recommended trails in the same area: Nebo Ridge, Brown County, Indiana

Cross Country Rider Summary: I've ridden in the area for a long time, but never here before. The trails are great. The person below me talked about the owner(older gentleman), but he is no longer with us. His daughter runs the place, and it still looks great. trails are nice, people are friendly...its a great place to ride. Recommended Route: Cliffhanger. Narrow in the side of a ravine, with very little room for error. Other recommended trails in the same area: Valley Branch, Nebo Ridge,

Weekend Warrior Summary: I am amazed at how down to earth and hospitable the owners are. It is old school. They trust you unless you give them a reason not to. The trails, facilities, scenery, and legacy of the place is awesome. The 70 foot tall pine trees that cover the Haunted Hill trail were planted in 1944 by the elderly gentleman that will probably greet you in the driveway right after the Retrievers. I felt guilty only paying $3 to ride there. This place is obviously in the owner's blood. If you go, they expect you to treat it as your own. They very much prefer that you call ahead. A really cool place for kids.

, from Greenwood Summary: First let me start off by saying Dave, who's review is below mine, is actually Lance from Valley Branch Retreat. Aparently they are jealous of the nice trails at Gnaw Bone Camp and feel the need for slander. Lance is just a little kid. First let me say that there are no horses allowed at Gnaw Bone Camp. I've never seen a horse or a horse print on any of the trails. She really respects the trails, she closes the trails when they are muddy, so I don't think she will ever allow horses. Not to mention the logging trucks and motorcycles that you will see at Valley Branch. Overall, she has a very nice trail system. They are worth the drive, just call to make sure the trails are open. She sometimes also has scout troups down there, and on those times she closes the trails also. Other recommended trails in the same area: Nebo Ridge and Hickory Ridge....definately not Valley Branch.
