Cross Country Rider Summary: if you cant find the "horse corral" its because its a recycling center. maybe someone could recycle all the horse turds that accumulated on my tires. im not bitter though. try and stick to the singletrack as much as possible or you might end up with an equestrian doo doo streak on your back.

, from Naperville, IL Summary: If you are armed with just the map they give you at the office good luck. Once you find the trails they are good and offer some terrain change, there are a few eroded areas on the trail. they have different level trails that are anywhere from beginner to expert. it was defintely a good place to ride in a place you wouldnt think you would have found some trails. trail markers would have been a plus. thanks again to the local who gave us the tour. Recommended Route: Directions above work just fine.

, from Moline IL Summary: I guest it would be a good beginer trail if they mowed the grass but if you have any skills you will be very bored here. Not many climbs to speak of and also not very technical. Also it seem like it has pretty desent horse trafic which ruins the trail when it wet. Not that great. Recommended Route: Follow the instructions above. Make sure you go to the sugar shack to get on the trails because they will charge you 2 bucks to get in to the park if you are not from Scott county. 2 bucks for here is not worth it Other recommended trails in the same area: Loud Thunder in IL

, from Eldridge, Iowa Summary: I live near the entrance to this park and it is "my" track. I ride it almost daily in reasonable weather and ride the road loops when trails are closed. The perimeter trails (horse paths) can get rough, but they can be fun. The good single track is within the wooded areas and can provide plenty of interesting riding with some moderate technical elements. The Rangers, who I and the local club work do NOT want bikes west of the golf course road and have advised that there will be fines for anyone caught in those sections. F.O.R.C. (Friends of Off-Road Cycling-Quad Cities) is working very hard to develop a formal relationship with the Park Board and, hopefully open up more of the Park officially. In the meantime. Enjoy the beautiful ridge and gully runs of the east side and observe I.M.B.A rules, please. Recommended Route: Follow the instuctions at the top of the page. Other recommended trails in the same area: Loud Thunder Preserve. 15 minutes from Rock Island, Il. A F.O.R.C. maitained track in cooperation with the Ranger District.

, from Davenport, Iowa Summary: Lots of single track. I find it much more fun in late spring, early summer and late fall. Otherwise the trails are overgrown and the park guys mow it when they feel like it. The deer create great new trails in the fall...just look for the crushed grass and follow it. This park has a lot of room and would be a great mtbike area if the park ranger would allow us to maintain trails......and create a few new ones to link the thing together. New residential construction will hurt the deer herd and the park but some group will find a way to blame the mountain bikers. If the bikers and equestrians would unite we could have a great trail system. I dont mind riding without the trails being mowed but the weeds grow about 5 feet high in some places (summer of 97) and contain tons of stickers. Recommended Route: I-80 (East or West, Depending on your address) to 61 North, Go North to the Parkview exit, follow signs to Scott County Park. Travel east passed the main park entrance and park at the "Sugar Shack" (you will see large recycling bins. Ride down grassy hill with the horse corral on your right and enter the trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: Sugar Bottom and loud thunder
