Cross Country Rider Summary: Basically, Klymer and Kevin could have pissed down their collective legs because of the low ratings. I'm almost positive that they did not even see this trail system in it's infantive glory. Travis K. spent MANY hours building this trail and all of it's attributes. I had ridden it several times since my initial review...then the "destruction". What actually happened was the very nearby creek flooded and all of the jibs were floated into destruction. This is a very difficult area to keep maintenance up on, much like George Wythe and Hartman Reserve...river/creek bottom in a flat basin area. Kudos to Travis for having the sack to build what he did. It was a fun trail. Recommended Route: Listed above. Other recommended trails in the same area: Ulrich, Ulrich, Ulrich...within a ten minute drive from here.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Bummer, these looked like they used to be sweet. Not any more. Why can't people leave stuff like this alone? What's wrong with trails that push peoples' riding abilities? If I can't ride something I leave it alone, I don't tear it down and criticize those who ride it. Recommended Route: n/a Other recommended trails in the same area: Ride the Green Belt if you want fast and flat.

, from Waterloo, IA Summary: After seeing it while trying to add a small portion of singletrack, I finally got a narrow window to get out and ride this 'shore stuff. WOW! Whomever has been building this system has done a great job. The 'pucker factor' is definitely kicked up a notch. While I didn't ride everything because it was getting dark, what I did ride was impressive because this is the first trail around like it. Ramps, flattened log tops, teeter-totters, drops (including one I probably won't ever do), and a few dirt jumps. One section even is elevated about seven feet while you ride along a flattened log top (only about 10" wide) and ends with a huge teeter-totter. Sorry to reveal this section, but I was definitely amazed. I can't wait to meet the builders and BS about it. Recommended Route: North on Ansborough Ave, past Highway 63. Turn left at the John Deere Community Credit Union, then turn right into the parking lot (can't miss it). The trail is located right over the levy. Other recommended trails in the same area: Ulrich Park, George Wythe, Lower Hartman, Greenbelt (which is actually adjacent with The Flat 'Shore), SugarBottom
