Ridden Trail: Every few months

Reviewed by: Tom
, from Ottawa, KS Summary: This is a rail trail. Long, flat, straight. Boring. It is fine for recreational cyclist but mountain bikers are looking for something much different. If this is your bag, then I suggest the ride between Garnett and Richmond as the trail traverses a big valley creayted by Pottawatomie Creek. Otherwise, the trail runs adjacent to farms on each side and there is very little scenery. I like very close to this trail and, if the singletrack is wet, choose to ride the local gravel roads which provide more terrain and looping possibilities. Recommended Route: Between Garnett and Richmond, or just south of Ottawa Other recommended trails in the same area: Clinton Lake - one of the best trails in Kansas
