Edgewood Trail

All single track. Original trail is well marked. Trail is best when dry. New addition to original loop is still rough but enjoyable. Great ride right in the middle of town. Mostly smooth single track with a few rocky areas and small challenges thrown in.

Summary:
This is a pretty good trail.... it may be short but it is pretty well marked and quite enjoyable.... its a good trail to start out on or to ride for fun but mabe not for the most serious bikers...it does however have some semi-technicle parts that almost anyone can enjoy

Recommended Route:
Only one route... so take that one

Summary:
I just had a chance to try out this trail yesterday. It's not exactly the ultimate MTB trail, but it's a great place to get out for a quick ride right in town. Mostly smooth dirt, the primary challenges are the inclines. In other words, it's not too technical, but it's a good place for a quick workout. Mostof the trail is marked well enough, but I did get caught off guard a couple of times my first time around when I was riding in bright sun and had a little difficulty seeing where the trail when in the shadows ahead. One caveat. I'd avoid this trail if the dirt is more than even slightly damp. It's mostly soft dirt and thin grass in most places, winding across the side of the hill. It looks like you could tear the trail to pieces and set up conditions for some nasty erosion if you ride when it's wet. I'm only giving it 2 stars, but that's not to diss the trail. I just prefer more technical challenges. The folks in JC are still lucky to have this kind of trail so close at hand.
